Full-Time Winter Seasonal - Product Sales Lead

The PSSSales Lead will be solely responsible for a designated ticket selling area and responsible for guiding staff in successful front line sales and office operations. This position requires a high knowledge of our products and systems. This is a leadership role. We are looking for an organized individual who is positive, outgoing, has a passion for the outdoors, is well-disciplined, and takes pride in their work.

Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading employees in sales and office operations by example;

  • Training employees on office operations, new products, new policies, and offerings around the resort.

  • Creating lunch and break schedules;

  • Opening and closingticket office(s);

  • Creating a fun and professional work environment, including sales contests;

  • Processing accurate financial transactions in RPOS with all forms of payment;

  • Tracking and monitoring that employees process transactions towards 100% guest data collection (name, DOB, address, email, etc.);

  • Answering any and all Kirkwood-specific questions and being knowledgeable about the history and culture of Kirkwood;

  • Keeping the offices clean, neat, organized, and presentable at all times;

  • Tracking and monitoring office inventory levels;

  • Being responsible forweekly safety meetings;

  • Being responsible for point of sale close out procedures and auditing;

  • Own, personalize, and elevate overall office experience with guest and front line agents.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;

  • Abilityto lift and carry 25 lbs;

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English language proficiently.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience handling money and working with the general public;

  • Guest service experience;

  • Point-of-sale experience & guest data collection;

  • Excellent skill in customer relations, communications, and problem solving;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).

Reach Your Peak.   PSS Supervisor– Full Time    The Product Sales & Services Department is responsible for selling tickets, season passes, ski school products, and fulfilling pre-purchased sales orders at Northstar’s Season Pass, Ticketing and Lesson locations.    This position provides a great opportunity for growth and will train you to have full knowledge of our products, services and guest offerings. As a PSS Department Supervisor you will oversee an assigned office location for the day in regards to all pass, ticketing, group sales and ski school fulfillment. This position will oversee anywhere from 5-10 employees per location and is in charge of daily operating duties per assigned location. We are looking for customer service oriented individuals who are positive, outgoing, operate with a high level of computer proficiency, have a passion for the outdoors, are well disciplined, and take pride in their work.     Essential Job Responsibilities Include: * Deliver exceptional guest service to internal and external guests. * Develop an in-depth knowledge of all resort product offerings and sales modules (apps). Troubleshoot product issues and follow up with the appropriate staff or guest in a timely manner. * Provide accurate resort, village, and local information to the guest. * Display accurate cash handling skills, perform and oversee the daily sales and close procedures while following company and departmental policies and procedures. * Communicate in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner to all internal and external guests. * Understand and adhere to all departmental and company policies and procedures. * Assist in the resolution of all guest complaints within company guidelines; handle all guest concerns and suggestions; ability to determine when you can handle an issue, and when it needs to brought to the attention of others, i.e. Department Manager, PSS Director, etc. * Willingness to be part of a cohesive management team working with multiple departments. * Assist in the hiring, training, supervising, and guiding of staff to achieve specific goals and objectives. * Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor. * Ability to create a positive and supportive environment for PSS staff, i.e. encouraging questions from staff, acting as a behavioral role model for staff, being a source of support and information, etc. * Ability to address employee issues in a timely, professional manner; documenting issue and/or referring to others, if necessary. * Establish personal strengths and areas of focus through self-assessment and on-going training and feedback from the Northstar Management Team; participate in all departmental and resort training and development courses. * Actively work in all areas of Product Sales and Service and/or in any areas of the Northstar Resort. * Perform other duties as assigned.     Requirements: * High School diploma or equivalent, * Experience in a supervisor or leadership role, * Experience with point-of-sale software (RPOS, RTP, or similar), * Strong communication skills; must be able to use proper English and grammar in speech and writing at all times, * Ability to pass a background check, * Able to lift and carry 20 lbs, * Able to stand for long periods of time.     Preferred Skills and Experience: * Have fun!
