Job Summary:

The Greeter is a part of the Product Sales & Services/ Scanning Department and will be responsible for assisting guests, ticket line management and information distribution to guests in line at Wilmot Mountain's ticket office/Guest Services locations. This position requires a full knowledge of our products and services and is responsible for informing guests of product and sales options, as well as assisting with daily operations. As a Greeter, you will receive a high level of guest interaction and will be the face of Wilmot Mountain! We are looking for guest service oriented individuals who are positive, outgoing, operate with some computer proficiency, have a passion for the outdoors, are well disciplined, and take pride in their work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately, efficiently, and independently assist guests.

  • Parking Lot management during high volume days

  • Effectively demonstrates the ability to learn, understand and communicate well with the guest about multiple product types and can easily adapt to changing pricing and product offerings.

  • Communicate professionally in-person and over the phone and radio, to both internal and external guests. Follow proper radio protocols and procedures.

  • Make suitable recommendations on products to meet the guests' needs and the business objectives.

  • Ability to handle high volumes of customer interaction while delivering exceptional service; internal & external

  • Creating a fun and professional work experience while communicating in a courteous and respectful manner

  • Resolve guest relation and/or product issues in an expedient manner.

  • Maintain a safe working environment.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in opening/closing procedures.

  • Work on a hand-held computer/tablet with a high degree of accuracy and efficient speed.

  • Must be able to interact with guest and work on a computer at the same time.

  • Follow company/department policies and procedures.

  • Participate in resort and departmental trainings and development courses.

  • Willing to cross-train and work in all areas/locations of PSS.

  • Responsible to perform duties which facilitate operations and maintain cleanliness of work area while paying attention to detail.

  • Perform other duties as appropriate.

  • Maintain professional appearance and attendance record in accordance with the policies set forth by Vail Resorts. Field guest issues and work to create individualized service solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude

  • Be available to work other base area operations

  • Able to stand for long periods of time

  • Able to walk uphill at a moderate pace

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English

  • Prior guest service experience Preferred

  • Must be able to handle exposure to inclement weather; bending, lifting and squatting

  • Able to stand and work outdoors for long periods of time

Reach Your Peak.   Job Summary: You are the copilot, concierge and safety engineer of a multi-million dollar machine.  You are responsible for the safe, friendly and efficient travel of our guests and fellow teammates as they navigate premier terrain.  Make our guests feel welcomed by joining the Wilmot team as a Lift Operator! Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: * Monitor the operation of the lift continually and notify the appropriate personnel of any problems or unusual conditions * Maintain a safe work area, i.e., ramp heights, tools stored, mazes set up etc. * Perform snow work, i.e., shoveling, raking, sweeping chairs * Pleasantly greet, make eye contact, listen to and respond appropriately to every guest’s needs and or questions, in person, outside of the lift building * Actively and efficiently perform maze control. * Abides by operating procedures, i.e., opening procedures, downloading procedures, last chair protocol, etc. * Follow and perform all company and departmental policies and procedures i.e., punctuality, attendance, dress and grooming standards, etc. * Ensure recycled materials are disposed of properly * Help to preserve our natural environment * Help guests and fellow teammates enjoy their time on the mountain * Remember that fun is our product- create fun, enjoy your work and share the contagious spirit Qualifications: * Must be able to stand outside in inclement weather for long periods of time * May lift up to 40 lbs., assistance is available for heavy lifting. * Must be able to make quick decisions regarding safety. * Must be able to maintain control and rational demeanor in emotionally charged situations involving guests and/or employees. * Must be able to deal with high volumes of guests in a professional manner.
