Function Overview

Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Product Quality Lead Engineer.

In this role, this person should be a passionate, visionary leader capable of driving change and discipline throughout the organization. Whirlpool is looking for someone with the ability to serve as a business partner to the various division leaders, as well as the rest of senior management. We want someone with experience in an operation or manufacturing setting with a solid background in new product introduction (NPI) quality and sustaining quality is required to be successful in this role

Job Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver Total Cost of Quality (TCQ) reporting, including annual profit plan, long-range plans, and monthly outlooks

  • Own process for cross-functional quality assurance and management teams to drive design, manufacturing and supplier quality improvements

  • Identify top drivers and drive containment and issue resolution. Own early warning monitoring including weekly, monthly meeting and action lists

  • Coordinate projects, manufacturing planning, and testing and existing product management

  • Provide quality data analysis and risk management on all Cost Improvement and Quality Improvement (CI/QI) projects

  • Maintain weekly/ monthly project updates and host a commercial quality meeting

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering,
  • 5+ years' experience in an operations or manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Ability to influence and change the organization

  • Strong data acquisition, analysis, and knowledge building skills

  • Product Knowledge and technical product development

  • Knowledge and exposure to manufacturing processes

  • Ability to master details of Total Cost of Quality (TCQ) information and reporting systems

  • Ability to work with all levels and functions within the organization

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven track record to create organizational alignment

  • Proven ability to drive initiatives that support change

  • Leadership skills in driving new ideas

  • Proven ability to analyze and process problems while providing effective solutions

  • Resourcefulness in accomplishing objectives and completing tasks

  • Proven ability to create and lead effective cross-functional teams to resolve issues, deliver results

  • Must be customer focused

  • Proven success in leading and implementing lean practices and principles

  • Six Sigma black belt certification preferred

Product Marketing Manager, KitchenAid Function Overview We are seeking qualified candidates for a Product Marketing Manager opening to join the global KitchenAid Small Appliance organization. This position consists of managing a robust global product development pipeline and commercializing programs from the idea stage all the way to execution and beyond. This is your opportunity to step into a significant leadership role that will be demanding and have significant visibility.This position will utilize your marketing, product development, program management and leadership experience and insight supporting our Healthy & Fresh (Food Processors) Category. Job Resposnibilities * Develop a vision and strategy for the global product platform you lead * Develop and own product plans with right innovation and product cadence aligned with brand architecture. * Leverage consumer insights to drive fact-based, consumer-centric decisions that support our premium brand leadership positioning. * Develop & present project business cases including pro forma financials, capital and engineering requirements, and other decision metrics. * Accomplish results through strong cross-functional (including Sales, Brand, Engineering and Technology, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, etc.) relationships and leadership including product development and launch activities. * Accelerate time-to-market while adhering to the Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) process. Drive cross-functional tollgate reviews to bring concepts from ideation stage to production. * Develop and execute strategies to simplify platforms and align future product plans with the strategy. * Deliver cost and quality targets for your platform. Coordinate activities with cost and quality leads to develop robust plans to hit and/or exceed targets.
