Summary

The Product Quality Coordinator is responsible for evaluating dietary supplement product quality to ensure that the product meets all product specifications, regulatory requirements and adheres to the processes set forth in applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Agreement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, approve, file and retain controlled quality documents

  • Support product quality improvement initiatives

  • Review documentation, batch records and support the Product Quality Department's disposition of finished goods

  • Support supplier qualification efforts

  • Responsible for obtaining, recording and filing retain samples

  • Maintain SOPs in compliance with regulations

  • Support to ensure site-wide compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and all applicable procedures

  • Complete projects and other duties as assigned by supervisors

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Experience, Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred
  • 1-2 years' experience on holding in process and/or components, finished dietary supplements, packaging and labels. Vendor interaction is preferred
  • 1-2 years' experience on holding reserve samples of dietary supplements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing practices for the dietary supplement industry

  • Knowledge of 21 CFR 111 and 117

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to carry out assigned duties effectively with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the company concerning dietary supplement product quality activities

  • Must display strong interpersonal skills, along with strong organizational abilities

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Strong technical documentation skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to produce positive outcomes

  • Strong organizational skills

Summary The Product Quality Analyst is responsible for managing the customer complaint process in accordance with the applicable regulation and any internal processes. This position primarily interfaces with the customer service and operations departments to identify and resolve customer complaints. The person will assist with the process of reviewing, approving and closing out change controls, deviations and any associated Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA). The person will assist with the writing and review of standard operating procedures, specifications and technical documentation. Key Responsibilities * Receive, review and document complaint evaluations of all company products and services according to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other applicable foreign jurisdiction requirements for nutraceutical or other company products * Establish a process to maintain complaint files and databases for all customer complaints, according to U.S. and any applicable international regulatory requirements * Evaluate and resolve each complaint in compliance with 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 111 and 117 and any applicable foreign regulations * Ensure the proper and timely handling of each complaint * Investigate all-related systems to ensure proper data collection. This may include, but is not limited to, collecting evidence or communicating outcome of investigation to customers * Review all complaints to identify whether a complaint is a reportable adverse event under applicable regulations * Maintain all complaint procedures, files and records according to established company standard operating procedures * Establish and maintain quality metrics and trending reports for product complaints, according to the direction of department leader and senior leadership * Coordinate with stakeholders to analyze root and resolve and close the complaint * Participate in specific CAPAs related to selected complaints to provide additional data during CAPA investigations and analysis * Interact with other functional groups inside and outside the Product Quality Department. Work closely with other regulatory team members and contract manufacturers * Evaluate and analyze incoming data quickly to ensure proper and immediate action regarding important regulatory requirements * Investigate change controls/deviations to determine complaint's root cause * Support internal and external audits for complex deviations * Maintain quality standards to meet good manufacturing process (GMP) requirements, CFRs and internal company policies with respect to the Deviation/CAPA process * Track key performance indicators (KPI's) and vendor performance * Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Experience, Education and Qualifications * Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or the Life Sciences * Minimum of 5 years of work experience in nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry * 3+ years' experience with Change Controls, Deviations and Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) * 3+ years' of recent experience working in the capacity of a Complaint Analyst open/closing complaints and handling reportable complaints required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Strong communication skills, both oral and written * Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to change * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships * High degree of initiative and self- motivation with a strong sense of accountability * Ability to properly handle confidential information and work with a high degree of confidentiality * Strong working knowledge of nutraceutical and pharmaceutical complaint handling * Knowledge of Code of Regulations (CFR) 210 and 211 EOE, DFWP Great Healthworks Fort Lauderdale FL
