Product Project Management Specialist, Long Term Care

This position is available to Virginia residents as Richmond or Lynchburg, Virginia in-office applicants with a hybrid work schedule.

The core responsibility of this role is to, as part of a small team, assist with the strategy, monitoring and reporting of rate filings and state responses as a cross-functional team member by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of 1) state requirements, relationships, and filing history; (2) LTC Inforce multi-year plan/asset adequacy goals; (3) business processes; and (4) resource capacity. Your role will be to emerge as the senior subject matter expert for these responsibilities.
You will compile and analyze select key business metrics, facilitate cross-functional team meetings, serve as an advisor, and develop comprehensive, customized materials used to support (a) creation of rate & annual filings and objection responses; (b) state regulatory meetings; (c) administrative hearing requests and other litigation efforts; (d) Genworth testimony during public hearings; (e) management reviews/discussions; (f) external reporting; (g) state approval assumption development; (h) responses to customer complaints; etc. You will also support the development, assessment, project management and/or execution of select process improvement and enhancement efforts. You will present status and progress to senior leadership groups and forums.
As a Product Project Management Specialist, you will support goal development & proactive monitoring; filing & approval performance reporting; and rate filing, annual filing, objection response, & regulatory engagement efforts.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Compile detailed and management level summary reports to monitor rate increase approval performance by state and product (e.g., status of filing, approved-to-requested, 51 Jurisdiction schedules; etc.)
Calculate and communicate the incremental premium impact of rate increase offers & approvals as received to senior leadership
Lead filing note requirements gathering and compilation efforts, facilitate discussions, and document key takeaways in support of strategy development/validation for state rate filings
Compile and distribute a bi-weekly LTC inforce dashboard summarizing select filing, approval, and implementation activity which includes incorporating updates provided by other team members; the document is used to support cross-functional team meetings in effort to foster collaboration, highlight opportunities, share key business updates, and discuss/outline tactical plans for achieving key milestones.
Compile and distribute a monthly LTC inforce Executive deck to Senior Leaders summarizing filing, approval, and implementation activity from the previous month
Assist with preparation of select annual filings and state data calls (e.g., annual California LTC Rate Guide Data Call)
Compile rate filing history summaries to support various internal and external meetings as well as compliance with service level agreements; share select updates via quarterly conference calls with AARP Services Inc.
Assist with capability enhancement and lead process automation efforts, as needed
Lead or coordinate cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully developed products that are ready for customer use

3-5 years of related work experience
