What Product or Services Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health

Product or Services Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding and:

  • Exhibits an ability to translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business

  • Accountable for gaining and driving cross functional support from all stakeholders

  • Identifies and remains current on market trends.

  • Determines product/service lifecycle implications and makes recommendations to maintain market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success

  • Understands methods available to execute primary research (VOC) that are necessary to drive portfolio/ product decisions

  • Can identify market opportunities through VOC/secondary research and takes action by implementing and managing solutions that meet customer needs

  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan this includes identifying the appropriate channels to market

  • Has the ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning

  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment

  • Understands and can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications

  • Works effectively across cross functional groups including but not limited to IT, communications, operations, and sales


  • Help manage the product life cycle of the branded and private label glove lines across healthcare and non-healthcare channels from discovery and innovation, to new product planning, new product introduction, post-launch product management, and product retirement

  • Contribute to the global product strategy for a product line(s), working with both regional and channel marketing leaders

  • Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of marketing and product management disciplines necessary for building business plans, product plans, and marketing plans

  • Utilize market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to develop preferred product offerings for targeted segments and channels

  • Understand methods available to execute primary research that are necessary to drive product line/portfolio decisions

  • Help identify market opportunities through primary and secondary market research and take action by implementing and managing solutions that meet customer needs

  • Identify and remain current on market trends

  • Determine product lifecycle implications and make decisions to drive market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success

  • Assist in translating market and customer needs across multiple regions and channels into clearly defined product requirements and product line strategy.

  • Ensure that all promotional, launch, and marketing activities align with the overall product line strategy and facilitate proper communication and collaboration with all applicable marketing resources across regions and channels

  • Demonstrate basic financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment

  • Support the development of business cases, investment requests, forecasting, pricing, deal structures, and assessing strategic options

  • Influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, enterprise marketing, enterprise contracting, strategic pricing, customer service, DMG, finance, quality, regulatory, legal, inventory, regional and channel teams, and others

  • Take informed risk and be biased toward action


  • Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 4+ years experience in related field, preferred

This position is primarily responsible for communicating the Firm's investment strategies, performance, capabilities, and positioning across both internal and external distribution channels. The Client Portfolio Manager will serve as a subject matter expert for external clients on the Firm's investment process and capital market views. The Client Portfolio Manager will also review quantitative model changes utilized in the investment process, and translate evolving model output to the impact on investment exposure across equity and fixed income disciplines. Primary Responsibilities: * Partner with internal and external distribution teams in order to increase and retain assets under management. * Lead the Firm's internal and external communication process, including written reports covering portfolio performance, positioning, as well as capital market and macroeconomic analysis. * Participate in the Firm's due diligence events to increase awareness of Meeder's investment philosophy and process among external clients. * Participate in industry conferences and other client meetings as a subject matter expert on Meeder's investment process. * Utilize internal analytical resources to perform portfolio analytics and attribution, as well as provide unique insights into portfolio construction. * Partner with marketing and sales teams to produce content that offer insights into investment models and portfolio construction, as well as general macroeconomic and capital market themes. * Generate commentaries on capital market events and catalysts that may be impacting portfolio positioning and performance. Critical Success Factors: * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to articulate complex finance and mathematical concepts. * In depth and current knowledge of macroeconomic environment, and an understanding of how economic variables impact portfolio risk and performance. * Solid grasp of technical and quantitative analysis. * Strong organization and time management skills with ability to multi-task. * A passion for investments as an intellectual pursuit. * Excellent problem solving skills and ability to find "outside the box" solutions. * Professional and accountable with high degree of ethics and integrity. * Desire for constant learning. * Ability and willingness to travel. Required Technical Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or other technical degree. * Professional designation or advanced degree such as CMT, CFA, MBA, etc. preferred. * Minimum 5 years' experience in an investment-related capacity. * Proficient with various software systems, including Bloomberg, Morningstar, Zephyr, and Microsoft Office.
