Product Policy Manager, Monetization

We are hiring a Product Policy Manager with expertise in advertising and technology policy areas to join our growing Monetization Policy function. This role requires developing policies and enforcement guidelines incorporated into safety-abling products, services, and technologies that support our global community of creators and advertisers. You'll help define and implement the company's approach to safety, civility, and fairness across our growing monetization ecosystem.

As a part of the Product Policy team, you will have a global impact on our creator monetization and user safety strategy. You will collaborate internally with our product, engineering, business, legal, public policy, marketing, finance, and operations teams to help drive the business forward on a foundation of safety & civility. You will report to Roblox's Monetization Policy lead and sit within our larger Safety Group at Roblox.

You Will:

• Draft and implement monetization policies, including for both advertiser and publisher content safety

• Collaborate across all functions of the company to support developments in our virtual economy to drive safety improvements for users, while supporting creator success

• Analyze the landscape across industry and regulatory activity to proactively anticipate and address risks to Roblox and our users

• Internally evaluate product proposals for risks and mitigations as they relate to safety and civility

• Help build the monetization policy team infrastructure, as an early member of a growing team

• Work directly with our advertising and broader economy product teams, safety product teams, and operations teams to guide the development and use of enforcement systems and safety tools for compliance with Roblox policies and local laws.

You have:

• 3+ years of experience with online Trust & Safety and/or Product Policy space

• Subject matter expertise in safety policies for user generated content, advertising regulations and compliance, ad platforms, creator monetization platforms, or other revenue generating products

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; Able to distill complex issues into their core components, analyze possible solutions, and propose viable policy paths forward

• Strong product / technical understanding as a foundation for creative problem solving

• Experience working directly with senior company leaders and presenting to executives

• JD / Master's degree or equivalent experience

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$198,099-$242,676 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
