JOB DESCRIPTION:

Leidos Spatial Solutions is looking for a Systems Engineer/Scrum Master to join our Agile Development team.

This position will work to assist in delivering the next generation of Geospatial Intelligence technologies to our customer. The effort will harness GOTS, COTS and FOSS technologies to deliver advanced exploitation services. The team will build and deliver new and innovative approaches to implement Geospatial Intelligence exploitation and production using web and cloud technologies.

The position operates in an Agile Development Lifecycle environment

The agile development cycle operates on a 2 week sprint cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Driving team sprint/release commitments

Owning daily scrum stand up

Coaching teams in agile practices/mindset

Assisting the team with removing impediments

Facilitating progress toward team goals

Facilitating team agile events: Sprint Planning, Retro, Planning, etc

Promoting and facilitating continuous team improvement (technical, interpersonal)

Ensuring scrum practices are followed (Time Logging, Comments, WIP limits)

Help team to focus on daily goals

  • Regular and consistent communication and coordination with and between stakeholders and teams.

  • Feature sizing, Velocity and Capacity Estimation

Participation in team events: planning, scrums, demos, retrospectives

Collaborating with Product Stakeholders to meet mission goals.

Working with the Product Owner to create and define story Acceptance Criteria

Provide DR support

Commitment to continuous improvement of product, process and the team.

They will be expected to be strong team contributors, be proactive in working tasks and resolving obstacles.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Scrum master experience

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Agile Development knowledge and experience

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to detail

  • Self-motivated

  • Capacity to work well in groups and the ability to lead a team.

Candidates with the skills below will be given priority:

  • SAFe Agilist Certification

  • Scrum Alliance Scrum Master Certification (CSM)

  • Security+ Certification

  • Project Management Skills

  • Jira collaboration tools experience

  • Experience with Geospatial exploitation tools: RemoteView Pro, SocetGXP, ENVI, ArcGIS

EDUCATION

Requires BS and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.

The Sr. Cyber Security Engineer works with internal team members to ensure the systems are functional, secure, and scalable. The systems and networks documentation and services developed will be used to collect and process data and improve the programs security infrastructure. The Senior Security Engineer will engineer design and develop cyber security technology along with integration of new architectural features into existing infrastructures while maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. The Sr. Cyber Security Engineer will need to be a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment and the ability to coordinate multiple, concurrent tasks in an effective manner. Primary Responsibilities * Address system-of-system architectural needs by drilling through all layers of embedded security within the given WAN / LAN architecture. * Lead multi-disciplined teams in the design and implementation of the cyber security system architecture. * Produce cyber security architectural artifacts. Provide architectural analysis of cyber security features and existing system related to future needs and trends. * Reviews and provides input to system requirements based on cyber security posture. * Compiles industry best practices and lessons learned into future iterations and new designs. * Supports the Engineering Review Board by evaluating artifacts for architectural compliance. * Provides broad based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and apply the experience to specific cyber security initiatives relating to architectural design and development. * Resolves architecture implementation issues during integration and test. * Advise and assist team members to deploy and configure collection services and tools * Work with team members to move data to the appropriate data stores Basic Qualifications * Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly * Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail. * Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing.
