SUMMARY
We are looking for a Product Owner to join our smart and hardworking product development team. The Product Owner will lead and continue to innovate our strategy for designing, building, integrating and delivering one product in our portfolio.
You will be responsible for ensuring that software designs meet user expectations and regulatory requirements, and reflect emerging trends in financial services software solutions. You will drive an Agile delivery approach that is effective, inclusive, and aligned with our highly regulated environment. This is a leadership role working closely with business experts, product owners, analysts, engineers, designers, and web developers to define and implement custom software solutions.
JOB DESCRIPTION
To be successful in this role, you must be a champion of collaboration; you understand a design-thinking methodology; you expect to set a great example for effective communication and coordination in team gatherings; and you are comfortable with any audience (especially stakeholders) presenting vision, strategy and delivery.
In this role you will:
Combine creative and analytical approaches to solve our big challenges, and continually find ways to ensure collaboration across design, analysis, data, and development in order to deliver solutions that put our users at the center of the process
Provide leadership in applying Agile principles to deliver complex software in our highly regulated environment, and promote participation, collaboration and innovation across the entire team.
Understand the industry, our specific market, and our individual customers
Ensure that our feature design process incorporates the collection of industry and audience research data, a continuous cycle of low and high fidelity prototyping and user feedback, and the discovery of new ways to allow the teams to build empathy for our users and audiences.
Skillfully employ classic project management techniques in our agile environment to enable the team to consistently meet deadlines and to make great progress.
Motivate and inspire teams to deliver high quality deliverables, to make innovative and effective contributions, and to show up every day with great attitudes.
Provide transparency on the product roadmap to executives, developers, and other team members.
Create and maintain a JIRA product backlog in order to show upcoming priorities. Prioritize the backlog based on business value and cost, as well as stakeholder and client needs.
Acceptance test feature analysis stories to ensure that the acceptance criteria meets the intent of the feature.
Collaborate with product team to ensure all dependencies, conflicts, etc are planned for in the roadmap and discussed as a team

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years experience in designing solutions for complex enterprise environments
Demonstrated ability to integrate design with strategy, research, and technology
Keen familiarity with design thinking, UX, and Agile design and development processes
Appreciation for the confluence of design and engineering in the software development process
Proven track record of user advocacy and user-centered design and development
Experience working in a product organization, driving design from planning to release over multiple releases
Excellent relationship building skills, and a proven ability to get results from matrixed, cross-functional teams
