Description:

As a Product Owner Lead, you will support initiatives that enable Nike to increase productivity, realize efficiencies and build profitable customer experiences. If you're the one for this role, you'll be joining the Nike Technology organization. Nike Tech brings together technology and process expertise into one streamlined, consumer and customer-oriented team.

You'll be joining the Connected Product team which is part of the bigger Node Management COE that deliver and support new implementations, upgrades and enhancements for our Distribution Centers globally, working together with our teams that is located within the different geographies, through an Agile Delivery model within Nike's Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads a product team of 8-10 people utilizing Agile principles

  • Understands Customer need by maintaining a close relationship with customers and stakeholders to comprehend and communicate their needs and participate in validation of the solutions

  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning sessions with the team's Scrum Master, and other Product Analysts to understand the business vision and create plans and objectives for the upcoming PI.

  • Work with the team during the PI on the backlog of work for each iteration delivering value in 2-week Agile Sprints.

  • Works closely with Product Managers and other Product Owners to understand and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmaps that are aligned with Nike's strategies and initiatives

  • Represents the customer in sprints to the delivery teams and provides sprint prioritization to ensure technology alignment with business priorities & strategies

  • Is accountable for what is agreed to work on within a sprint.

  • Provides customer service to our technology and business partners for on-boarding, adoption, and documentation.

  • Measure and report on the value provided by the Product team offerings and provide regular updates to stakeholders on product priority, delivery, and adoption

  • Contributes back to the overall roadmap and prioritized backlog

As a Product Owner you are a key member of the Agile Scrum team and will represent the voice of both the customer and Product Managers to execute product vision. The Product Owner will work closely with Product Management, partners, and architects to define and prioritize features, to ensure alignment with customer and program needs, and improve the value of development. Primary Responsibilities * Consult with project stakeholders to understand business data requirements and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements * Elicit, capture, analyze, refine and document business requirements and help engineering team to build user stories * Work with Product Management to prioritize project requirements, also work with engineering team to ensure priorities in sprint planning. * Evolve as the voice of the customer to the Agile Scrum teams, articulate product expectations for product. * Engage and participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies. * Articulate and refine requirements and define acceptance criteria in a manner understandable to the Agile Scrum * Own, maintain, and prioritize the agile product backlog * Define sprint and program increment goals and objectives with the team * Demonstrate products to internal teams and stakeholders. * Identify and lead dependencies across teams within the product/solution * Define business goals and customer expectations for Program Increments * Convene and lead technical discussions with engineering as part of articulating and refining requirements and understanding engineering realities * Communicate trade-offs between customer expectations and engineering realities to Product Management team and focus on prioritization * Stay up-to-date on related industry trends and standard methodologies and constantly exchange ideas within teams. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Demonstrates effective team dynamics, conflict resolution, mentoring, and leadership skills * Proven working experience within a SAFe or Agile methodology and utilizing agile practices * Strong facilitation skills within the teams and ability to lead cross-functional teams with strong negotiation skills. * Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally * Experience in resolving issues with higher levels of management • Balance of technical and business insight; able to communicate what is possible and what will have biggest impact on business. * Be familiar with modern software CI / CD practices including test driven development * Exposure to agile tools such as Jira a plus. Qualifications * 3+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, business management or related disciplines; or equivalent experience * 1+ years of experience analyzing and documenting business requirements and communicating them to technical teams in the role of business analyst, program manager, or product owner * Training and certification as a professional scrum product owner (PSPO) or as a certified scrum product owner (CSPO) preferred.
