Position Overview

Most Trimble Product Owners thrive in problem solving situations, enjoy teamwork, are innovative and have a positive attitude. They are very strong at understanding of our customers, our products and our technology. Generally, Product Owners possess strong coaching skills and the ability to motivate teams and individuals around a common vision of product development excellence.

We are seeking an intern to work closely with our Product Management team that may be interested in pursuing a career that may include the following.

  • Transportation Industry

  • Potential roles in Product Management as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, and/or Agile software product development

  • Situations where there is a strong need for technical requirements gathering, writing skills, and/or the ability to communicate clearly to different audience types

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Scrum Methods while working with Scrum teams, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and other Product Owners

  • Communicate work in progress and upcoming work to key stakeholders

  • Prioritize product backlog items and coordinate with stakeholders including the Product Manager, the market, executives, and scrum teams

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in relevant product domains

  • Develop an understanding of the target market and customer users

  • Partner with stakeholders to help define Minimal Viable Product (MVP)

  • Ensure MVP aligns with product vision and companies strategic goals.

Useful Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Knowledge of Scrum or other Agile methodology

  • Knowledge of tools such as Aha!, Confluence, Jira, Portfolio, Visio, etc.

  • Transportation industry knowledge

  • Telematics product knowledge

  • Usability testing experience

  • Experience collaborating with End Users to complete wire-frames/mock-ups

VIEW JOBS 3/5/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-03T00:00 The product owner is responsible for the successful delivery of the Omni Project (Genesys Migration) across the UnitedHealthcare lines of business. They will lead 1-2 scrum teams, using the agile project methodology. Supporting the last two years of a three year roadmap for the Omni Project, this product owner will work closely with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and IT teams over the course of the projects. Ability to be agile, work with aggressive timelines, and work across cross-functional teams are a must. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: * Partner with Program Lead and Program Director in supporting agile-based program migration * Shares and decomposes features into user stories * Create workable business user stories / business requirements * Ensure business requirements are represented in the product backlog * Review of test cases against user stories acceptance criteria * Actively participates in product backlog grooming sessions, retrospectives, defect management and project team's release planning sessions * Build and deliver project status updates to senior leaders * Leads business project team to establish program deliverables, timelines, and manages expectations for on time completion * Manages expectations with project teams and senior leaders when challenges or competing priorities are present * Partner with the IT Program Manager to manage deliverable timelines and ensure alignment with the business project timeline * Partner with the Program Change Management Manager to ensure end to end change management is accounted for and included in the project plan for successful delivery * Support multiple project tasks outside of the Agile/IT process, including operations readiness, training, and change management * Identify external impacted business areas to ensure they are included in the project plan and manage * Develop a deep understanding of the customer and product needs * Recognized as the subject matter expert of the business to the team You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree * 5 years as a project manager or product owner or senior analyst role with experience leading project teams, identifying and/or writing business requirements/features/user stories * Strong written and oral communication skills * Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio * Builds effective relationships with co-workers and customers * Experience in identifying process/systemic issues and recommending solutions for improvement Preferred Qualifications * Experience in working with Agile / Scrum work environment * Experience working with Genesys IVR and/or call technology systems * Experience working with cross functional teams * Experience working with various teams simultaneously * Healthcare insurance industry experience * Experience in Change Management * Ability to work with aggressive timelines * Demonstrate flexibility and ability to prioritize work according to business need * Able to make quick decisions when clarification or modification is needed * Self-directed and able to drive detailed solutions to completion with minimal oversight * Detail oriented and organized Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
