The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Product Owner for the Healthcare Data Dictionary, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Creating customer pleasing products, that delight users and deliver value to healthcare enterprises

  • Collaborating with industry experts, medical informaticist, and 3M content leadership, to curate and prioritize an impactful product development backlog of market-differentiating features

  • Guiding a Scrum Delivery Team on the efficient execution of that backlog, for your product focus area and ensuring the features and functionality, produced by the team, fully meet the original requirements, as well as quality standards

  • Creating a collaborative and integrated atmosphere, across multiple departments (Business Development, Client Support, New Product Adoption, Technical Communications, Training, Marketing, etc.) in order to build, test, deploy, and support features in your product focus area

  • Collect "voice of customer" from both external customers and internal stakeholders

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of eleven (11) years of experience in Scrum Product Ownership or Product Management

  • Five (5) years of experience in health informatics or healthcare software

  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Health informatics degree

  • Clinical/Nursing degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university

  • Experience with standard medical terminologies (i.e. SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm etc)

  • Experience with Scrum and Agile practices, certifications

  • Cross-team project management experience

  • Experience with technical troubleshooting, problem solving

  • Other healthcare experience, certifications

Travel: Travel may be required, up to 25%

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Remote
