  • Gather, organize, and document requirements IAW Scaled Agile Framework requirements module.

  • Document, track, and trace requirements using AgileCraft and Confluence throughout the development lifecycle

  • Lead or assist in the preparation of all requirements driven documentation using Epics, Capabilities, Features and Stories Acceptance Criteria.

  • Analyze all requirements for completeness, concise, feasibility, linkage and interdependency, test-ability, etc.

  • Define Requirements that be measurable, testable, related to identified business needs or opportunities, and defined to a level of detail sufficient for system design

  • Build, edit, and maintain the team backlog consisting of user stories, defects, and technical debt with input from System Architect/Engineering and other stakeholders.

  • Understand the scope of the upcoming work and collaborate with system and solution Architect/Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the critical technological infrastructures that will host the new business functionality.


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 3 years of experience

  • Experience working in a Product Owner or Requirements Analyst role

  • Experience in functional Use Cases, Data Flow, Work Flow diagramming, UML and Data Entity Relationship Diagrams

  • Experience working with web based systems

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain policies, procedures, and technical information clearly and accurately

  • Possess strong conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Skilled at prioritizing and completing tasks of multiple priorities in a timely manner

  • Confidence working with and interfacing with clients across different parts of the business

  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Able to adapt quickly in a rapid, changing environment

  • Experience with AgileCraft is preferred

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

  • Position is located in Rockville

  • Relocation will not be provided

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Provides technical expertise and supervision to the drug product development group in the areas of preformulation evaluations, formulation development and process development * Provides supervision to the drug product development group in the manufacture and packaging of cGMP clinical supplies, on-site and/or at contract manufacturing organizations, in support of the Company's clinical development program * Provides technical expertise and supervision to the drug product development group in drug product technology transfer and scale up, registration, prevalidation and validation activities at contract manufacturing organizations * Collaborates with the Commercial teams in defining drug product trade dress and commercial packaging * Supports the drug product regulatory process by writing and reviewing sections of CTDs for INDs, CTAs and NDA submissions, amendments and yearly updates. Contributes to briefing packages and represents the product development group as needed at CMC related FDA meetings. * Supports the Corporate Development department evaluating drug product opportunities * Supports the Company's intellectual property activities * Reviews and approve specifications, master batch records, SOPs, product development protocols and technical reports * Contributes to the yearly departmental operating budget, head count and equipment needs based on the approved project objectives. Assists with the contract bid quotation and award process for departmental projects at third party organizations * Participates as a project team member or leader as needed * Regularly communicates progress of projects to the group and/or department head and as required senior management. * Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures the drug product development group complies with current SOPs, Safety and Environmental Regulations and cGMPs Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * N/A Supervisory Responsibilities: * Provides leadership and management over personnel in Drug Delivery Sciences drug product development group in an effective manner to accomplish corporate objectives. Knowledge & Other Qualifications: * Ph.D. in a Pharmaceutical or Physical Science or equivalent combination of education and experience * 4+ (w/ Ph.D.), 6+ (w/ MS), or 8+ (w/ BS) years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical and/or cGMP * 3+ years of supervisory experience * Must be an innovative thinker * Must have proven track record in the drug development process, manufacture of clinical supplies and drug product technology transfer and scale up. * Must have experience in traditional preformulation sciences. Experience in biopharmaceutical in silico modeling is a plus. * Must have proven track record in cGMP regulations and quality systems * Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical and regulatory documents. Ability to respond to complex inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to top management and groups. * Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. * Demonstrated technical, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills and the ability to work on cross functional teams.
