Great Day Improvements - Product Owner

As the Product Owner of our cutting-edge web applications, you will be instrumental in the creation and enhancement of a premier web platform that is vital to our sales and customer support efforts. Working in synergy with multidisciplinary teams, you will establish the product direction, oversee the product backlog, and ensure the delivery of exceptional features that not only meet our strategic objectives but also exceed our users' expectations. Your deep knowledge of web and mobile technologies, along with a focus on user-driven product development, will be critical in advancing our project from concept to deployment and further. The ideal candidate must possess a technical background and the ability to transform requirements into tangible outcomes that support our overarching vision.

Responsibilities

• Craft and refine a compelling vision for the web application, ensuring alignment with the company's goals for enhancing the sales process and achieving customer excellence. Develop value propositions that resonate with our target users.

• Draft or evaluate business requirements documents and define project schedules.

• Oversee team iterations, ensuring clear communication with management and stakeholders while safeguarding the team from unplanned work injections, ensuring changes are deliberate.

• Address project disputes, obstacles, and evolving business needs to maintain high operational performance.

• Collaborate with team leaders to tackle personnel issues and eliminate project impediments.

• Conduct post-implementation reviews and root cause analyses to drive continuous improvement in team practices, aiming for enhanced productivity.

• Champion continuous enhancement efforts, defining and implementing measures to boost program speed and quality.

• Establish and uphold best practices, policies, and procedures.

• Actively seek out and remove obstacles to streamline workflow.

• Deliver executive summaries of projects to top management.

• Oversee and execute additional special projects as required.

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required.

• A minimum of 7 years in project ownership, with 5 years dedicated to leading agile sprints.

• Demonstrated success in a product ownership role or similar within the software development sphere.

• Proficient in applying Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Sufficient technical knowledge on User Interfaces, API, modern application deployment and usability patterns on variety of platforms: web, mobile, desktop.

• Experience with complex business applications, Domain entity modeling.

• Must understand (conceptually): PWA, (Progressive Web), MOBILE native, Hybrid APPS, ERD (entity relationship diagrams.

• Excels in dynamic, team-oriented, and fast-paced environments.

• Exceptional analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.

• Recognized expert in facilitating the adoption of Agile Scrum practices.

• Superior skills in communication and teamwork, effective across all levels of an organization.

• Solid grasp of iterative and incremental development principles.

• Detailed knowledge of Scrum theories, rules, and practices.

• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methods to anticipate team requirements.

• Experienced in collaborating with Architecture teams to evaluate and estimate stories and epics accurately.

• Demonstrates a fervent dedication to meeting deadlines and delivering products on schedule.

• Confident in presenting project updates to senior management.

• In-depth knowledge of Agile metrics (including task tracking, backlog management, burndown charts, velocity, and user stories) to refine sprint planning processes.

• Capable of interpreting and advocating for both business objectives and technological frameworks.

• Articulate communicator, effective in person, over the phone, and via email.

• Highly self-driven and well-organized, with a proven track record of self-management.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer.

• High energy and ability to stand, walk, and engage with customers, peers, and people for up to 8 hours.

• Up to 25% travel to work with business stakeholders and requirement analysis.
