Job Summary

Client Partnerships is the primary liaison between the organization and the client and is responsible for creating and executing credit card portfolio strategies, in alignment with internal and external leadership. Sr Manager, Product & New Accounts is responsible for setting the strategy for product offerings, capabilities/features, and new account acquisition as it relates to portfolio growth for assigned portfolio(s). This role is responsible for creating and delivering against the strategy for all product offerings, including capabilities and features in order to drive portfolio growth.

Responsible for customer acquisition strategies and experience. This role ensures the needs of both the client and organization are met within each initiative executed. Leads cross-functional partners in a matrixed leadership environment both within Client Partnerships as well as internal teams, including Data Science & Analytics, Credit Management, Finance, and Operations.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Strategy: Works with General Manager or Director to set and execute strategy as it relates to portfolio management, P&L, all product offerings for assigned client portfolio(s), as well as new account acquisition.

    Accountable for new account strategy, customer acquisition, and the application experience. Will manage and own relevant value proposition for assigned portfolio(s). Work closely with Product center of excellence to ensure product offerings, features, and capabilities are strategically integrated into client programs.

  • Financial Acumen: Responsible for maintaining understanding of P&L in order to adjust product and acquisition strategies to drive portfolio growth, all while managing to key metrics for new account performance, line utilization, and approval rates.

  • Credit Practices: Will work with internal teams to maintain credit management practices with regard to credit line assignments and activation rates.

  • Relationship Management: Maintains a productive relationship with brand partners to ensure strategies are collaborative and expectations for budget and focus areas are shared. Works in close synthesis with GM team, Finance, Compliance, Credit Management, Marketing, etc., as it relates to assigned portfolio(s). Must be able to balance needs of both client and Bread Financial when advising and to drive solutions and strategies.

  • Leadership: Lead, guide and develop formal and informal reports toward achieving business goals, growing profitability. Leads and partners with cross-functional teams in a matrixed leadership environment both within Client Partnerships as well as internal teams, including Data Science & Analytics, Credit Management, Finance, and Operations.

Reports to: General Manager, Senior Director/Director

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment, some travel may be required.

  • This position is hybrid with an onsite schedule of 3-4 days per month. In-office requirements are subject to change based on business needs. This position is currently available to candidates that reside within 60 miles of Columbus, OH; Chadds Ford, PA; Plano, TX; Draper, UT; Wilmington, DE or New York, NY.

Direct Reports: 0 - 2 formal direct reports. Highly matrixed leadership environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent relevant experience

  • 8 years in Account Management, Sales, Finance, Product Management, Project Management, Marketing, credit card portfolio management

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, focus in Business Administration, Marketing

  • 10 years in Account Management, Sales, Finance, Product Management, Project Management, Marketing, credit card portfolio management, Management experience in a multi-level organization

Typical Starting Range:

$108,300.00 - $196,300.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $124,600.00 - $245,400.00

Colorado: $108,300.00 - $206,100.00

New York: $119,200.00 - $245,400.00

Washington: $113,700.00 - $225,700.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial's 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off.

Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time ("PSST") upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
