Job Description:


Responsible for facilitating and driving the strategic development of Individual Medicare Advantage plans in the Northeast market.

  • There is a strong preference for the candidate to be located in either Connecticut, New York, or New Jersey.*

Fundamental Components:

Specifically, this position is accountable for Individual Medicare Advantage product development and regional product strategy. The individual must be able to identify, research and review large amounts of competitive, market and financial and benefit datasets and use information to drive and develop strategy.

Utilizing excellent relationship management skills, the position will be responsible for achieving market-level General Manager and Director of Operations approval on strategic direction in support of a diverse, compliant, marketable, sustainable and profitable Medicare Advantage portfolio. The ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting and defending strategic direction to various individuals within the Aetna organization, including senior-level executives.


Health Insurance Industry: 4+ years

Medicare Advantage: 2+ years

Strategy: Demonstrated experience developing, communicating and implementing strategy

Relationship Management: Demonstrated relationship management skills at senior levels internally

Communication: Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills

Technology: Strong MS PowerPoint, MS Excel required; Tableau/SAS/SQL experience preferred


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
