This position focuses on product development and product management activities for the Aetna Employer Group Medicare Advantage Plans. The Product Development Manager will collaborate with other business stakeholders including Sales, Underwriting, Informatics, Claims, Materails, Operations Integrity and Compliance in bringing new group solutions to market, establishing internal protocols and tools necessary to support these areas as we deliver growth of MA in the employer group space.
The successful manager will partner with the Group Product Development team, AIS and Informatics in defining data for standard and custom benefits within the Product database, mapping YoY changes for system configuration. They will lead the team in testing efforts as new functionality and new benefit opportunities are delivered. The manager will drive benefit changes and configuration with the Materials team for creation of member facing regulatory requirements including annual notice of change and evidence of coverage mailings.

Candidate must possess excellent strategic skill, presentation skill and must be able to work in a highly cross-functional, and changing environment. Strong interpersonal and professional relationship building skill required.
6+ years of related industry experience.
Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing business priorities
Ability to identify process improvements and effectively utilize technology (either directly or in a consultative role) to implement improvements
Demonstrated project management skills and ability to negotiate for resources not under direct control
Experience in working with the Aetna legacy systems including GEBAR. IDX knowledge a plus.
In-depth understanding of the CMS regulatory requirements for Medicare Advantage Part C benefits and regulatory requirements including EGWP waiver authority.
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and collaborate with teams to resolve business issues and meet aggressive deadlines.
Experience in training, presentation skills and ability to explain complex issues to various audiences across the organization through multiple channels including training forums and webcasts.
Strong business understanding of the internal Sales and Underwriting processes a plus
Ability to work independently in fast paced environment while meeting aggressive timelines
Ensure Compliance requirements are met and maintained at all times
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
