This position is responsible for maintaining the product item master data across multiple databases and systems. Part of this responsibility includes coordinating with international planning and market level data managers ensuring data structure adheres to proper master data hierarchy. This is an ongoing continuous improvement effort as current architecture is not fully aligned. They will work closely with Product Creation, Engineering and Planning teams to ensure system data is in place to support new product forecasting, Purchasing, assembly and financial activity. This individual will also work with IT and other functions to help manage system end user testing as well as proposing and driving continuous process improvements relative to Product Master Data (PMD) across the company.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Master Data

  • Serve as the primary gatekeeper for Product Master Data (PMD) for SKUs; including setting up and maintaining part numbers, as well as ensuring that item master information is accurate and consistent across the globe.

  • Help standardize the process of creating new SKUs and ensuring teams across the globe comply.

  • Validation of SKUs' Product Master data between TaylorMade's in-house PLM application and Oracle.

  • Maintain US Transfer Price lists in Oracle for intercompany shipments within TaylorMade to help regions clear customs on time.

  • Responsible for the coordination of new product and program launch requirements for product master data: identify, develop, define, and document all milestones and deliverables globally. Collaborate closely with Product Development, Engineering and Operations to ensure Master Data readiness: update Oracle with SKU master data, BOMs and costing information under tight deadlines. High accuracy level required as this drives GTM and cost management success.

  • Manage timing and communications related to publishing official product names in Oracle; with Purchasing Team as it relates to vendor launch activities; with WMS Team for updates to Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms; and Configurator Team for configurator launch activities.

  • Manage and help troubleshoot the Global Inventory Standard Costing Process in conjunction with Global Finance.

  • Effectively drive product FOB cost deadlines with Product Costing teams and Finance.

  • Coordinate annual re-cost activities for carryover products with global regions, Finance and IT.

  • Manage the loading of Product FOB SKU costs into Oracle for inventory standard creation and auditing of information populated in systems for NAM inventory orgs.

  • Maintenance of BOMs and routings in US inventory orgs in support of planning and assembly activities.

  • Identify, test, and implement PMD enhancements to PLM application forms to align with future roadmap of TM master data and business initiatives.

  • Engage the business to better leverage product master data for enhanced reporting and system functionality.

  • Work cross-functionally with Product Creation, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain to maintain key item attributes required for reporting metrics.

  • Maintain DOMO KPI Dashboard metrics and create presentation materials to highlight KPIs and recent achievements/milestones.

Operations

  • Communicate and help enforce HQ Operational policies as it pertains to global and regional product launch activities.

  • Facilitate SKU/BOM creation of last-minute Sales programs, SMU's and expedite requests.

  • Management of mini projects that enhance products/services provided to customers both internally and externally.

  • Harmonizing and standardizing KPI Reporting and other business metrics using the DOMO reporting tool.

  • Coordinates Project Level activity with Commercial and Operations in support of sales programs by ensuring ad hoc data set ups are in place under critical path deadlines.

  • Maintain a calendar of future launches, communicating and educating launch process out to the operational stakeholders.

  • Participate in Go-to-Launch meetings and provide status updates on PMD deliverables and identify when upstream deliverables are not being met and impacting ability for us to meet our deadlines.

  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical skills: ability to look at numbers and draw conclusions about actions to be taken

  • Experience working within a product launch process and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Planning, Costing, Finance, Purchasing, etc)

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. MS Access, Business Objects, etc)

  • Critical attention to detail; ability to analyze information for consistency and accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability to meet absolute deadlines

  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels.

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • BS Degree in relevant field preferred, or related work experience.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience in high-throughput supply chain environment (>10 million annual units)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.

  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.

  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.

  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual salary for this position is $69,000 - $78,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
