Product Marketing Manager

In this role, you will define, plan and ensure implementation of product marketing strategies for Motion Drive Products in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, meeting business targets and aligning with global product strategy. The Product Marketing Manager, Water/Wastewater and Irrigation supports the sales organization in driving sales of drive products in the US (United States) market by ensuring implementation of global product marketing strategies to meet business objectives. The individual will build key relationships with sales, service, marketing, channel partners and customers to understand the customer and channel needs in strategic markets within Motion Business Area. This role will work across functions and engage sales and customers directly to determine the course of where to play & how to win and champions successful execution of the US drive products Water/Wastewater drives portfolio go to market strategy.
Your responsibilities
Own the local go to market product marketing strategy for Municipal Water/Wastewater and Irrigation products including value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy
Support the sales in the local market by providing product and technical support to sales teams including trainings and key customer pursuits
Create demand through technical promotion, providing solutions and a value base selling approach with expert level knowledge of products and competitors offerings
Understands customer needs in the local market by building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction
Prepares business plans focused on business development for the Municipal Water/Wastewater and Irrigation market and implement Division market pricing policy
Your background
Bachelor's degree (Business, Communications, Engineering or Marketing preferred) and minimum 8 years of related experience in a complex business environment OR
Associate degree (Business, Communications, Engineering or Marketing preferred) and 10 years of related experience in a complex business environment OR
High School/GED and 12 years of related experience in a complex business environment required
Experience with product sales or customer relationship management highly preferred
Experience in the Municipal Water/Wastewater field, Irrigation and (or) Variable Frequency Drive technology with solid understanding of channel and segmented sales model highly preferred
Travel up to 25 to 30 percent required
Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USA
