Position Summary

Austin, Texas, USA (Hybrid)

Thales is looking for a Senior-level Product Marketing Manager within Thales Cloud Protection and Licensing (CPL) unit. You will play a key role in supporting, developing, and executing overall marketing support, communicating product launches, content creation, and supporting GTM programs targeting our prospects and customers.

You will spearhead the promotion, adoption of Thales' cutting-edge Data Security Platform products, weaving together technologies such as data discovery and classification, encryption, key management, tokenization, risk analytics and activity monitoring.

You will lead a team while contributing to product launches, provide inputs to demand generation and account-based marketing teams.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Define the messaging, positioning, content, and developer go-to-market strategy to enable successful product launches and marketing campaigns.

  • Support Sales by creating sales resources and delivering impactful training sessions for enhanced sales proficiency.

  • Work and collaborate with different teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to analyze and identify competitive product's strengths, weaknesses, and differentiators.

  • Build the go-to-market plan and launch marketing programs with field and channel marketing channel managers and sales to promote adoption.

  • Execute research and analysis - leveraging marketing data analytics to better understand customers' "digital behaviors" and triggers for effective customer engagements and campaigns.

  • Participate in the design of Integrated Campaign initiatives supporting the business objectives by partnering with Communications & Field Marketing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Marketing with understanding of IT Management and Security.

  • 6+ years of Marketing experience in the technology or cybersecurity space.

  • Proven results in product marketing, sales engineering, or product management, with a good understanding of developer and partner ecosystem audiences and their motivations, understanding enterprise buyer and user personas tasked with developer tools and solutions, and how to market developer solutions to them.

  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, especially in large enterprise environments. Experience with cloud-native, datacenter, and hybrid infrastructure and applications desirable.

  • Outstanding communications skills to explain and translate complex technical concepts into simple and intuitive communications.

  • Experience designing sales collateral from scratch based on sales conversations, sales calls, product interviews, user interviews, market research, and your own experience.

  • Knowledge of how to run successful developer and digital and in-person integrated marketing campaigns with the ability to coordinate across many teams, iterate, and deliver in a fast-moving environment.

  • Technical aptitude and experience building and communicating developer products to a developer audience
