Brief Summary of Role
Appirio is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about taking new products to market. The Product Marketing Manager will work with product management and partner marketing to position Appirio products within the Salesforce Ecosystem. This individual will conduct market research, create differentiated messaging, and drive channel growth to build and execute on go-to-market strategies.
This role reports to the VP of Product and Innovation and is an integral part of the Product team, serving as marketing and communications lead for key go-to-market strategies and products.
Maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce ecosystem and audiences
Define market opportunity, identify whitespace and product gaps to generate new ideas for product development
Conduct ongoing audience research and develop compelling product messaging and value propositions
Create and manage product launch campaigns working closely with internal stakeholders and channel partners
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop campaign content to help drive new business pipeline and support cross-sell opportunities
Drive the creation of thought leaderships content and field marketing materials
Conduct product webinars and support sales demos
Create sales enablement materials, including training materials and product overview content
Collaborate with cross-functional marketing team to track and measure product marketing strategy initiatives
Meet with customers and Client Success to generate customer testimonials and case studies
Education and Required Experience
3+ years for product marketing experience
5+ years of total marketing experience, digital marketing experience preferred
Experience with SaaS or IT/IS products and selling
Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
Experience managing the end-to-end go-to-market process
Direct experience creating marketing assets, including 1-pagers, demos, webinars, whitepapers and emails
General knowledge of Marketo, or similar marketing automation platform
General knowledge of attribution and campaign measurement
Creative, high energy, innovative, proactive and resourceful. Someone who thinks on their feet, is comfortable with change and enjoys problem solving.
Must have excellent teamwork, organizational and multitasking skills.
Exceptional verbal/written communications and presentation skills, with experience presenting to and interacting with the C-suite.
Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
MS/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Informatics or equivalent preferred
Located and able to work in the U.S. from a home office and able to travel up to 25-50%
