Job Description:

As the product marketing manager, you will be responsible for contributing to Piano's product positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and competitive intel - translating the technical capabilities of our solutions into easy to understand customer benefits.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be an expert when it comes to our competitive landscape, assist in market segmentation and opportunity sizing, and help identify areas of opportunity

  • Own and develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products from our competitors

  • Drive and execute multi-channel go-to-market strategies and campaigns for new Piano features, products, and services coordinating materials including copy development, image library, etc.

  • Work with the Product Team to manage and update Piano's product feature matrix and competitive intelligence documentation

  • Ensure all product releases (Beta/GA) are represented in our marketing and PR calendars

  • Partner with Marketing Team members to develop customer communications, including scheduled and ongoing newsletter development targeted to power user and user-buyer personas

  • Help educate both internal and external stakeholders about our product features and their benefits

  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage

Requirements:
.

  • 5-7 years of experience in SaaS product marketing, and/or product management

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills with extensive experience writing and creative development of content and marketing materials

  • Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity (this role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring the product to life)

  • Ability to manage numerous simultaneous projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Protection of the health of the public through state-of-the-art assessment of health professionals is the mission of the NBME, along with a major commitment to research and development in evaluation and measurement. The NBME was founded in 1915 because of the need for a voluntary, nationwide examination that medical licensing authorities could accept as the standard by which to judge candidates for medical licensure. Since that time, it has continued without interruption to provide high-quality examinations for this purpose and has become a model and a resource of international stature in testing methodologies and evaluation in medicine. Although the NBME's mission is centered on assessment of physicians, it encompasses the spectrum of health professionals along the continuum of education, training, and practice and includes research in evaluation as well as development of assessment instruments. The NBME has nearly 500 employees and is located in Philadelphia's University City neighborhood, home to some of the country's most esteemed universities, nonprofit research institutes, and research and teaching hospitals. Position Profile: This role provides direction, management and coordination for the Marketing and Product Management leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of MPM goals aligned with the NBME strategic objectives and operational goals. In addition, this role will maintain a particular focus on employee engagement, resource planning, recognition, and continuous improvement. This role also serves as an advisor to the SVP MPM on all matters related to business operations. Duties: Serves as key resource in the planning and coordination of the assigned unit's operations, which include: * Coordinates the review and submission of Executive Board, Annual Report materials, and year end accomplishments summary; * Participates in the interpretation and communication of NBME and MPM policies and practices to internal stakeholders, and, * addresses special issues, problems, and concerns on behalf of the Senior Vice President * Field incoming requests to MPM and recommend actions and resourcing * Primary Interface to HR working on executing workforce planning and talent review activities * Manage annual succession planning discussions with MPM Leadership * Monitors and reports on MPM performance against NBME strategic objectives and operational goals. * Organizes and coordinates operational information across MPM for the Senior Vice President in the areas of budget development, resource allocation, and project tracking. * Tracks and analyzes Program trends and advises SVP of intermediate and long term fiscal impact. * Provides cross-functional leadership on supporting and cultivating NBME culture, employee engagement, professional development, and recognition. * Identifies Continuous Improvement projects in MPM division and engages Enterprise Effectiveness to define project charters and execute on projects. REQUIREMENTS Skills and Abilities * Significant Program/Product management experience, with a broad understanding of NBME products and services. * Demonstrated experience managing projects including experience with process improvement, KPI and financial results. * Demonstrated success in cross functional influence and driving change in a matrix environment. * Excellent organizational, strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, written and oral presentation skills. * Excellent judgment with the ability to act independently. * An influential communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a passion to drive an ever changing environment * Drives performance targets to completion. Experience Required: * 8-10 years applicable assessment industry experience to include an understanding of the roles of assessment development and design processes. * Proven experience in project management, budget management, managing people processes, cross-functional influence, and matrix team leadership, * Proven ability to analyze complex information to make inferences and recommendations, with excellent ability to present data and propose solutions in a clear and concise manner.
