This role will be responsible for packaging and pricing, marketing and sales enablement and evangelism for the Restaurant Operations portfolio within our Commerce business unit. This role works closely with the product, sales and marketing organizations to bring products to market and drive awareness, interest, and adoption through compelling packaging and pricing, arming sales with the knowledge and tools they need to be successful, developing customer-facing collateral and content, and outlining the marketing programs required for demand generation.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the restaurant industry, technology trends, market forces and competitive trends relevant to assigned products
Define go to market plans, including target market identification, unique value proposition, and compelling offers for new and existing products in the portfolio
Facilitate marketing activity through the development and delivery of point of view documents, content, and market plans
Enable direct and indirect sales teams by developing and delivering sales tools, collateral, and training
Act as product evangelist through customer facing activities including industry and customer events, internal and external community facilitation, and thought leadership
Track product marketing success from awareness to orders, with a focus on how we can optimize the marketing mix to generate additional adoption and growth.
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, product management, or a relevant field of study. MBA a plus.
8+ years of related experience in marketing and sales roles.
Understanding and exposure to the broader software environment and how operators and consumers interact with technology.
A natural propensity for creative go to market approaches that improve market awareness and demand .
Leadership, collaboration and communications skills required to influence successfully in a matrixed environment.
High energy level, good organization and multi-tasking skills necessary to achieve constantly changing mix of short, medium and long-term objectives. Must be able to handle frequent interruptions in schedule to respond to ad hoc sales queries and new customer opportunities.
Confidence, presentation and negotiation skills needed to interact effectively with senior management, key customers and partners in both selling and problem-resolution scenarios.
Natural curiosity and self-motivation to learn and keep current on technical aspects and trends for assigned product category in areas that impact cost drivers, user experience and performance.
