Mercury's Sensor and Mission Processing (SMP) business unit is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to bring marketing scalability as our portfolio of products and addressable market expands organically and through acquisition.
The Product Marketing Manager will partner with SMP's Director of Product Marketing, often engaging in collaborative, creative promotional projects with the marketing team, Product Managers, Sales and functional leaders. This is a growth position leading to higher levels of project ownership and complexity, and is ideally suited to someone seeking to build a product marketing career in a fast paced, technical B2B domain.
Co-develop and update marketing content including data sheets, product brochures, blog posts, promotional text, advertisements, webpages, event messaging, and social media content
Review, edit and proofread technical and marketing content to ensure concise writing, grammar and messaging accuracy
Liaise with Corporate Marketing to execute demand generation initiatives such as print and digital advertisements
Generate the content for targeted social media campaigns promoting sales/BD strategies
Support joint marketing ventures with key suppliers
Manage marketing assets for trade shows and our customer-facing Innovation Centers
Analytical mindset to track projects and marketing metrics

This position is ideally suited to an organized, dynamic, curious individual with several years marketing or product management experience within a technical B2B domain. The position has excellent opportunities for career advancement within solution and product marketing and/or product management. The skillset breakdown for success is approximately 25% technical, 20% market awareness, 20% creativity, 20% relationship building and 15% administration/review.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Minimum 5 years marketing experience
Defense, aerospace, embedded computer or similar technical/industrial experience in a product management or marketing role
Precise verbal communication, writing and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - SEO optimization, web authoring, CMS, CRM, publishing, image editing and other similar marketing tools also a plus
Willing to travel (US and Europe) 10%
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
