Product Marketing Manager

Job Description:

Do you have the rare combination of skills needed to be an exceptional product and solutions marketer? Not only are you a gifted storyteller and technologist, you're also a detail-oriented executor who knows how to get things done.

You're hungry. You relish opportunities for growth, grab the bull by the horns, and take on new challenges with enthusiastic aplomb.

You can write. You don't just take complex topics and present them in clear, easy-to-understand ways; you can tease business benefits from a long string of acronyms, platitudes, and buzzword-laden jargon.

You know networking and or security. You are comfortable with virtualization, NFV, SDN and can explain what's up with north/south vs east/west and can explain why both 5G and 400Gig Ethernet are revolutionary rather than evolutionary.

Some marketing experience helps too. While we are really looking for significant levels of clue around networking, security and the like combined with an ability to write, it would also be nice if you had some experience in marketing, particularly B2B.

Do you have this rare combination of skills? If so, you might be just who we're looking for! Here are some of the things we are going to ask you to do in this job:

  • Create new collateral. First and foremost, this is a content-focused gig. You'll be tasked with creating eBooks, blogs, webinars, white papers, customer decks, videos, web copy, and a host of other marketing assets so comfort in short- and long-form writing is a must.

  • Take ownership of marketing your products and solutions. Messaging, positioning, content creation, competitive analysis you own all of it.

  • Lead product launch campaigns. You'll oversee all marketing-related aspects of the launch, including timelines, deliverables, collateral, etc.

  • Think different. We're not looking for robots here. We want fresh perspectives, bright ideas, and revolutionary new ways to stand out in the marketplace.

Job Qualifications

Here's a detailed breakdown of skills and attributes we are looking for. Don't sweat it if you don't have all of these, because we're basically describing a unicorn.

  • University degree. Bachelors or better, preferably technical or marketing-related.

  • Understanding of IT. Networking, securitythe more, the better. However, at minimum you should be able to talk about things like the OSI stack, TCP/IP, cloud, security posture, kill chains, FPGAs, etc.

  • Ability to learn. This is a fast-paced job in a fast-paced industry. You need to be comfortable with rapidly absorbing, assimilating, and using new information.

  • Flexibility and Comfort with Diversity. This is important things change around here they change a lot and we want people comfortable with that.

We also value diversity and focus on your work and ideas, not your appearance. Maybe you are larger than average, smaller than average, have tats and piercings or a colorful hairdo. Maybe you wear horn rimmed glasses with a skinny tie and a suit.

We don't care. We do care about people who are smart, work hard, never stop learning and help raise the team up rather than break others down.

Sound like something you want to be a part of? That's what we were hoping to hear.

Send us your resume and a couple writing samples and we'll be in touch!
