As the Product Manager, Urology Marketing ("PM"), you will report to the Senior Product Manager, Urology Marketing ("SPM"), and be responsible for providing comprehensive support across the entire spectrum of strategy and promotional marketing activity. You will enhance the team with a strong product and marketing vision, cross-functional leadership, and a passion for making healthcare better for everyone.
In this role, you will create compelling messaging and positioning, maintain specific vendor relationships, ideate and execute on promotional marketing tactics, and support market research activities. You will also participate in other strategic and promotional related projects associated with educating key customers.
To be successful in this role, you will be detailed oriented, have an ability to carry out multiple tasks in parallel and work collaboratively with involved stakeholders. Competitive candidates will possess relevant experience in diagnostic, urology and/or oncology marketing, with a demonstrated ability to master complex scientific material and convey these concepts to physicians, patients and internal stakeholders in a compelling and understandable manner.
The Product Manager should enjoy working in an ever-changing office environment, have a "can-do" attitude, and effectively collaborate across the organization and cross-functionally, to gain alignment when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Senior Product Manager, you will contribute to, and own high-priority marketing initiatives as they arise and lead the ideation and development of promotional materials and programs.
You will be responsible for tactics, tools and programs focused on specialty audiences (e.g. urologists, surgeons, pathologists, urology fellows, diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists) that can influence Oncotype DX ordering.
You will have the opportunity to work directly and develop positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to: Sales, Training, Corporate Communications, Medical Affairs, and Sales Ops on a wide range of projects.
Handle questions and requests related to department programs and functions and keep current on all technical and clinical data associated with the assay, along with primary product positioning, messages, and promotional collateral.
You will create departmental memoranda and presentations, as needed.
You will coordinate regulatory & legal review of new or revised promotional materials in a timely fashion and work closely with outside vendors to manage inventory of promotional tools.
Attend outside meetings and prepare reports as needed to convey scientific or competitive information that may affect our markets and product positioning.
Prepare verbal & written requests and other information to internal and external parties on a routine basis.
BA or BS required. Advanced degree strongly preferred (MS, MBA) or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in marketing or a related field, with a strong track record and accessible references. Field sales experience in urology or oncology is a plus.
Urology or Oncology market experience required.
Detail oriented with good project management skills
Strategic thinker with potential for advancement as the company grows.
Computer skills: Databases, presentation development skills, MS Office expertise must be at a very high level.
Writing skills: Memos, letters, slide decks, product brochures, data analyses, with proper grammar and spelling.
Demonstrated ability to managed external agencies and vendors to timelines and budgets
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, complex tasks and to meet deadlines.
Collaborative approach to work and problem solving
Proven analytic skills with scientific papers and market intelligence.
A demonstrated willingness to exercise initiative in cases where decisions need to be made and supervisors are not available to consult, coupled with the tact and judgment to do so appropriately.
