The Molecular Diagnostics Division of Bio-Techne seeks a dynamic and experienced Event Marketing Manager to support the Asuragen, Controls, Companion Diagnostics, and ExosomeDx brands. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of proven expertise in the highly regulated medical device or diagnostic industry. Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and oversee various events and meetings, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Skilled in managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and collaborating within a matrix structure to deliver successful events that meet organizational objectives. A passion for creating memorable experiences that drive brand awareness, engage customers, and generate leads is essential. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand their event needs, objectives, and requirements.

  • Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets in consultation with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Ensure all events comply with industry regulations, including healthcare compliance guidelines, HIPAA, and other relevant standards.

  • Maintain and manage a process to comply with industry regulations.

  • Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors, and partners to execute all aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, audiovisuals, and logistics.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all event-related inquiries, providing timely updates and addressing concerns from stakeholders.

  • Oversee event logistics, including setup, registration, attendee management, and on-site coordination to ensure smooth execution and a positive attendee experience.

  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and negotiate vendor contracts to optimize resources and achieve cost efficiencies.

  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive event attendance and engagement across various channels.

  • Collaborate with product marketing teams to promote events and ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels that reflect the organization's values and objectives.

  • To inform future event planning efforts, evaluate event performance, and provide post-event analysis, including leads, ROI metrics, and attendee feedback. Report to stakeholders, identifying areas for improvement and best practices.

  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements for event management in the medical diagnostic field.

  • Comply with global regulations and requirements, company policy, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

  • Process a series of post-event tasks that include obtaining HCP (Healthcare Professionals) timesheets, timely payment of invoices and expenses, internal chargebacks, HCP reporting, and post-program attendee follow-up.

Qualifications

Who You Are & What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5-10 years of experience in conferences and events management, preferably in a matrix organization.

  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals preferred.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in interacting with physicians, industry personnel and researchers in face-to-face, telephone, and electronic communications.

  • Experience with and enforce all client Business Conduct standards and regulations on HCP programs and ensure all programs follow AdvaMed, Sunshine reporting, state laws, and association guidelines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building relationships and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Negotiation skills and experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management.

  • A detail-oriented mindset focuses on delivering high-quality events that align with organizational objectives.

  • Proficiency in event management software and tools like Smartsheet, Cvent, Eventbrite, or similar platforms.

  • Creative problem-solving abilities and adapting to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to travel and work evenings and weekends as required for event execution.

  • Professional certifications in event management or related fields are a plus.

Travel

Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. Travel, as reasonably requested, to meet with and educate customers and salespeople, attend and coordinate trade show presence for associated products, attend training programs, coordinate customer meetings, and other related travel as determined by the company.
