We are seeking a product marketing manager who will be a key member of the ESG Marketing team and will help drive the success of our market-leading, innovative, and growing solutions for the energy industry.

This individual will identify and drive product marketing initiatives that grow market awareness and demand for our market-leading solutions. This includes research and identification of new market opportunities, definition of go-to-market strategies and plan, work with product management to influence product direction, sales enablement and training, support of key customer engagements, and work with the rest of the global marketing team to execute product launches, demand generation activities, customer marketing, and more.

This position reports to the Director of Product Marketing.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Personas
  • Lead the effort to understand the buyers of our solution, their pain points and success stories, and collaborate to create a messaging plan for the buyer's journey.
  • Product launch
  • Plan the positioning, overall launch, and measurement of new releases and new products; collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to implement the plan.
  • Positioning
  • Develop and gain consensus on the positioning and messaging for current and new products as well as enhancements.
  • Product
  • Collaborate with product management on roadmap positioning. Develop messaging that showcases customer benefits for our client/prospect-facing roadmap. Engage in discussions with product about roadmap benefits and ideas.
  • Metrics
  • Closely monitor key success metrics including content usage and win rates.
  • Product content and tools
  • Develop and partner to create value-oriented content to build awareness and support demand generation and sales, including collateral, website content, videos, webinar and press releases, and customer communications.
  • Sales enablement & training
  • Partner with Product and Solutions Engineering teams to train sales team during regular sales meetings and webinars. Develop the key messaging for Sales to highlight benefits and competitive positioning.
  • Marketing campaigns
  • Partner with the wider marketing team to strategize compelling campaigns; create content to support campaigns as needed.
  • Domain expertise
  • Act as product, domain and market expert through presentations & demos to customers, press and analysts, and at events.
  • Market research
  • Conduct market research, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs.
  • Thought-leadership
  • Develop thought leadership content, sales presentations, competitive intelligence information, and whitepapers to enable sales organization success with customers.
  • Competitive
  • Collaborate internally to conduct competitive research, create competitive battlecards and training, and conduct win/loss analysis and interviews; train sales team on competitors.

ABOUT YOU

Essential:

  • 5-8 years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing.

  • Experience understanding customer pain points and aligning solution-oriented capabilities.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to create clear presentations and write content. A "knack" for writing is key to success for this role.

  • Highly skilled at converting feature/function specs into value-oriented positioning and messaging.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally across global sales, marketing & product management organizations.

  • Ability to rapidly prioritize and react to changing business dynamics.

  • Commitment to excellence in your work.

  • Located in Greater Boston, Houston, or Calgary and willing to travel to the office 2x a week.

  • Ability to travel approximately every 2-3 months for events and offsite meetings.

Desirable:

  • Pragmatic Institute certification highly desired.

  • Experience in the energy sector.
