Overview

The Product Marketing Manager Consumer will execute marketing strategies to best drive awareness, engagement and affinity with GM Financial customers. Reporting to the AVP of Product Management, this team member will define market positioning, develop and execute go-to-market strategies for feature and product launches and monitor business metrics.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Develop clear and effective consumer marketing plans and drive execution

  • Develop and execute product and feature launches and go-to-market campaigns, working with cross-functional teams

  • Work directly with the product managers and marketing team members to plan and implement goals, strategies, and tactics (campaigns) around our products and other consumer touchpoints

  • Analyze market and competitive research to anticipate product trends, competitive actions and marketing strategies

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for go-to-market activities

  • Prepare presentations and other communications to inform stakeholders of strategies, plans and results

  • Develop product documentation and presentations to assist teams that work directly with customers

  • Measure, assess and report on the effectiveness of programs, initiatives and the various tactics and collateral assets related to them

  • Foster and champion an environment that promotes trust, continuous improvement, innovation, quality outcomes and self-development

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Conform with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Skills

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and public speaking skills

  • Proven capability to collaborate with and influence a varied group of stakeholders and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment with excellent project management skills and an ability to manage and prioritize multiple programs

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries and deliver business insights

  • Demonstrated innovation and creative problem-solving abilities

  • Self-driven individual contributor that can take initiative and carry projects from start to finish

  • Independent and quick learner with exceptional attention to detail

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience required

Experience

  • 3-5 years working in product marketing required

  • At least 1 year in B2C required

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment subject to stressful situations

  • Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime or split shifts may be required

  • Limited travel may be required to support business needs

  • Strong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customers
