POSITION SUMMARY: Researches, defines and executes the strategic direction for all market segments. The strategic direction includes all related marketing activities for the company, our products, services, customers and community - including the design and maintenance of the company website and appropriate social media platforms.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops annual marketing plan and budgets for activities to support the plan.

  • Conducts required market research and business opportunity analysis on a continued basis to support the strategic direction plan.

  • Manages product portfolio direction, product life cycle analysis, product enhancement needs, new product development initiatives and development team requirements. May also lead cross functional development teams.

  • Directs marketing communications activities including: public relations, bulletins, social media, advertising, literature, pricing, trade shows, website, sales tools and training.

  • Performs corporate activities including trademark registration and maintenance, new product need planning and new product development reporting.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree and master's degree, or equivalent work experience in marketing.

  • Four to six years of work experience in marketing preferred.

  • Experience in office furniture or Tier 1 automotive supplier preferred

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Quantitative skills.

  • Ability to perform financial analysis.

  • Knowledge of selling, general marketing and product development.

  • Exceptionally well developed interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to handle critical issues.

  • Ability to apply managerial and supervisory skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Job typically functions in normal office environment with little discomfort due to temperature changes, dust and noise.

  • Work periodically requires concentration on figures, paperwork, data etc. and is periodically affected by distracting influences such as people, telephone calls, etc. Pressures related to meeting deadlines, scheduling requirements and simultaneous projects is periodically required.

  • Travel as required is expected in support of key sales or customer needs. Travel not to exceed 40%.
