JOB SUMMARY
The Product Marketing Assistant (PMA) is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Product Manager(s). This person will be an integral part of the promotion and the growth of their designated product lines. A successful PMA will have a good business acumen and will understand the basics of B2B selling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.
PMA's shall have knowledge of their supplier's policies, procedures, contacts, and products.
The PMA will be trained to be the backup point of contact to the Product Manager (PM).
Cross train with other PMA's to expand supplier and product knowledge.
Quote requests submitted and responded to in a timely manner.
Communicate any challenging issues to the PM in real time.
Run Expired Ship and Debit reports to renew supplier contracts monthly.
Load vendor contracts in a timely manner.
Create supplier bill of materials (templates) as required.
Update supplier pricing and lead times as necessary.
Process sample requests as required.
Assist the Product Marketing Manager (PMM) and PM's on any special projects.
Assist PM with open Quote Accelerator (QA) requests.
Communicate with the QA coordinator as needed.
The PMA position can be a path of succession to Product Manager.
