As a Product Manager, you help ensure that we:

  • Communicating technical challenges across the organization You understand technical challenges, make educated trade-offs with the development team, and translate those choices for those less technical internally.

  • Learning from feedback You are approachable and gather (both internal and external) qualitative and quantitative feedback to hone a better development process.

  • Developing meaningful relationships You work well with the to understand needs and explain your product choices. You gain the trust of your everyone around you by speaking the same language.

  • Moving fast and feeling positive We've got a lot of learning to do, so our teams need to be nimble and have a great time doing it. We don't play the blame game.

VIEW JOBS 11/20/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-18T00:00 Job Description Danfoss is creating a digital Platform team in Cambridge MA, located close to campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and we are looking for a Platform Business Development Manager to help lead the way. This individual will acquire ground-breaking solutions to discover disruptive technologies including; digital platforms, applications, and Customer Experience channels while leveraging the innovation ecosystem at and near MIT. Main task is to identify new platform partners and motivate them to join our platform. You will be directly responsible for: * Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services. * Locate the appropriate contact in and outside the Danfoss Power Solution organisation. * Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone. * Understand the needs of our customers in the off highway industry and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these. * Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business. * Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes. * Draw up client contracts - depending on business model and the size of company. * Have a good understanding of the PLUS+1 tools and services and be able to advise others about them. * Assist in promotional strategy and activities with the marketing team. * Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate to promote the platform.
