Responsible for development and execution of the growth strategy for a given product line(s). Responsible for growth and profitability of a given Product Line(s), globally, including price management and controls. Key representative of a given Product Line. Responsible for consolidating and articulating customers' voice (globally) on New Product Development (NPD) strategy and ensure alignment with business plan. Responsible for defining and maintaining product, customer and market segmentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Responsible for growth and profitability of Product Line(s). Metrics to include orders volume, sales and CM for given Product Line(s)

  • Responsible for achieving price and mix targets within product scope to achieve expected profitability

  • Responsible for adherence to product line base cost targets to ensure fit with overall global plan while ensuring expenditures in technology, marketing, etc. are adequate to accomplish product line goals

  • Responsible for global NPD launch plans, including coordination of internal and external resources

  • Partners with Marketing Leader and Sales leaders during NPD launches to provide input into marketing budget required to launch the NPDs

  • Responsible for providing input to major reviews and operating pulses, including Business Plans, Strategy Plan, AOP, and other periodic estimates that are required by the business. Inputs will include financial projections (orders, sales and CM by product line) and specific commitments for growth from commercial programs and NPI launches

  • Works with Sales teams to create and maintain a quotation tool that will help to highlight opportunities and risks to the planned financial performance of the business (based on given product lines)

  • Responsible for representing the given product lines' view on orders, sales and CM. Work with sales teams and marketing to set up an effective and efficient framework for this activity that highlights actions to improve forecast and results

  • Develop and execute Product Line business plan for the region and lead/facilitate the execution of strategy

  • Work with sales, and marketing team to develop/improve go to market strategy and ensure sufficient and effective sales resource and channel partner strategy/management

  • Work with all functions across the organization to ensure adequate and effective resource dedication to support and execute strategy

  • Understand market need, trends and competitor intelligence for the given Product Line(s). Design, develop, track, and update competitive intelligence and market penetration database

  • Lead/Drive a close and effective working relationship between functional groups

  • Own collection and reporting of global product quality issues, represent product line(s) voice on resolution decisions and action plans

  • Focal point for global intelligence/ expertise on competition, standards and policy position

  • Work with Sourcing to create a secure and efficient supply chain for "system" delivery

  • Work with the sales, and technology teams on process and metric improvement plans

  • Leverage best practice from other platforms and share with other H&HWS business leaders

  • Build the mid-term strategy in terms of priorities, partnerships and business development

EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree, Engineering/Marketing/Business Degree or similar; MBA preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four to six years commercial or industrial market Product Management experience

  • Deep product line domain expertise

  • Proven success in developing and implementing business plans

  • Proven leadership ability to lead virtual teams and work across a matrix

  • Must have strong influencing skills

  • Must possess excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building strong team relationships

  • Imagination and courage: Proactive, creative work style and a self-starter

  • Willingness to travel, as required.

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite) required

  • Product line management / Sales Management experience

  • Relevant engineering experience

  • Successful track record working with or strong understanding of product management processes

Job Description As part of the F135 Sustainment Organization executing Performance Based Logistics Contracts, the Product Support Integration Center & ALGS Operations Centers are responsible for ensuring 24/7 F-35 fleet supportability of the propulsion system and Integration with all disciplines of the F135 value stream. You will be the PW propulsion manager for F135 fleet management and sustainment concerns supporting the warfighter at both of these sites. You will utilize and work with the East Hartford based Fleet Management Center staff and Field Service personnel around the globe for fleet status, propulsion issue tracking and closure. This role includes direct senior level customer interaction with the Lightning Support Team (LST), Joint Program Office (JPO), JPO Hybrid Product Support Integrator (HPSI) leadership and Lockheed Martin PSIC and Propulsion leads. This job will require an individual that is self-sufficient, and capable to make program decisions which will affect important propulsion metrics. You should be able to work as an individual contributor in addition to leading the team's needs. Detailed responsibilities are outlined below: * Supervise 7-12 Fleet Readiness employees that support fleet operations 24/7. * Manage all EH&S and BPEC Training requirements as well as performing Performance Connections with each employee 3X/year. * Work with the F135 Fleet Management Center through daily status meetings, and communicate to PW customers in USG as well as Lockheed Martin and Rolls-Royce to close out fleet issues. * Lead the F135 program by ensuring full integration of your team into coordinating, and integrating Fleet Management Campaigns for emerging fleet issues. * Support current Fleet Management Campaigns with internal and external customers to ensure Action Request closure within compliance requirements. * Manage Fleet Readiness support of proposed engineering changes with review and impacts to the fleet and depot for all proposed changes. * Handle Fleet Asset Management functions to quickly and accurately define suitable component, module and engine replacements and coordinate movement with Fleet Logistics Specialists. * Support Fleet Metrics Analyst with supporting data for daily fleet drivers to Non- Mission capable rate adjudication. * Work closely with Maintenance Management team to ensure priority of repairs is understood or both immediate and future requirements and trending. * Coordinate process execution with several functional departments across the value stream including customer service engineering, global service engineering, support equipment operations, operational bases, material management, and engine management. * Represent the PSIC/ALGS in the following forums: Monthly Program Reviews, ISMT, SUIPT, IPMT, SIPT, IPT meetings. * Ensure that propulsion status of all NMC aircraft is communicated to PSIC leadership and act as main conduit of emerging data and issues to/from the F135 Fleet Management Center as well as the Joint Program Office. * Support Internal/External: daily meetings, reviews, and status calls while integrating responses with the F135 Fleet Management Center and AR Center. * Assist the PW Fort Worth Action Request Analysts for AR/DR/MERLIN coordination and responses. * Create MERLIN messages to formally document issues to the Pratt & Whitney Customer Support Engineering (CSE) group as required. * Maintain weekly/daily status documents as requested from PW Sr Leadership. * Work closely with Pratt & Whitney East Hartford sustainment organization to resolve technical and logistical problems involving F135 engine operation and maintenance. * Use initiative and judgment to identify problems, assist with investigations to determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. * Provide Export jurisdiction support to team as required. - Casual overtime will be necessary - Because the F-35 Fleet is worldwide, work during some holidays and weekends throughout the year will be required. * Actively support ACE initiatives and ensure employee safety by complying with and supporting EH&S activities.
