U.S. Bank is looking for a seasoned product manager to partner with other product managers, Business lines and Engineering teams in the build-out and adoption of Customer360 (C360) data product. The C360 product helps enable the offense and defense use cases for our business lines to derive actionable insights and better service our customers, grow the business. As a Senior Product Manager on C360, you will be responsible for leading the change management and in enabling user adoption as part of our Cloud migration journey.

In this role, you will have ownership over key initiatives in long-term product vision, feature definition, adoption enablement, and marketing of the product. The candidate must be customer obsessed and enjoy engaging with and helping users with data related needs across the organization. The candidate is expected to be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with fast delivery time and data-driven decision-making. The right candidate will bring a good mix of experience with data integration technologies (ETL), Software development life cycle (SDLC) with Agile (Scrum), Kanban and other iterative project delivery methodologies in addition to product management skill set and have a roll-up-your-sleeves, entrepreneurial approach.

This leader will need to exhibit excellent judgment, prioritizing customers and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable sharing their vision with senior leadership, but also working closely with engineering teams to dive deep into details to make ideas into reality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner closely with users, business line(s) and cross functional teams to drive the evolution of the assigned product(s).

  • Maintain and refine product backlog; creates user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritize user stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy.

  • Partner with business and use case owners as a Technology consultant to devise/design solutions to satisfy the use case needs.

  • Works closely with Enterprise Architecture team, Data architecture and platform product management teams to identify and prioritize the capabilities and functionality needed by the product to meet current and future needs

  • Participates and performs POC's with Cloud technologies

  • Work closely in a hands-on style with engineering team including addressing daily prioritization needs, providing real-time feedback, and answering questions on an ongoing basis.

  • Creates Product Requirement Documentation (PRD's), Source to Target (S2T) mapping documentation, proficient with Spark SQL and be able to roll up your sleeve and perform coding, code review, and perform user acceptance testing.

  • Has a good understanding of Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Synapse SQL architecture, Spark fundamentals to guide user's hands-on as part of Cloud migration, user onboarding.

  • Work with data engineering and platform product / engineering teams on enabling capabilities to solve use cases.

  • Responsible for Data quality of the Product and is proactive in implementing Data Quality rules, and accountable for governance of the product.

  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops for Azure migration and change management.

  • Foster an environment for a high-performing team.

  • Navigate the organization through partnerships and collaboration

  • Employ product management practices and tactics including customer research, data and analytics, and market research.

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to six years of relevant experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience working on RDBMS Systems (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle etc.) and Big data files systems.

  • Minimum 5 years of financial services industry experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience on Hadoop (HDFS) with ability to query Hive, exposure to SQL query tools.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL, T-SQL, Python, Spark SQL, Scala

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with ETL (Extract Transform Load) technologies.

  • 10+ years of experience, with at least 3 in product management

  • Experience with standard relational databases (SQL Server, DB2, Postgres)

  • Microsoft Azure Data engineer certification would be nice to have.

  • Exposure to real time data ingestion using Kafka and Azure event driven architecture patterns.

  • Strong technical acumen. Can dissect complicated technical problems, simplify experiences, and innovate on behalf of our customers

  • Both technically deep and business savvy to interface with and lead teams of all levels and disciplines within an organization, from engineers to senior leadership

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from disparate sources to drive conclusions and recommendations

  • Strong track record of delivering products and ensuring customer success.

  • Excellent oral, written communication skills and is capable, comfortable with presenting to large groups.

  • Demonstrated project management, time management and organization skills.

  • Ability to work and thrive in collaborative work environment as well as independently to drive results

  • Impeccable attention to detail, while being comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence change across a complex organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (related field)

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $108,375.00 - $127,500.00 - $140,250.00
