About the role:

The Product Manager for Neuromodulation Marketing will be involved in all aspects of developing and launching products for our Neuromodulation Deep Brain Stimulation program.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with cross-functional product development teams and generating voice-of-the-customer market specifications

  • Writing customer requirements documents, creating product labeling, supporting user validation activities, and developing claims

  • Collecting feedback from customers throughout product development

  • Supporting product commercialization activities across multiple internal and external groups such as design, packaging and labeling, regulatory claims, sales force education and operations planning

  • Developing and conducting market research

  • Acquiring and analyzing feedback from key opinion leaders, current and potential customers, third party market research and internal stakeholders

  • Possessing an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry in general and more specifically, the segments targeted by assigned products

  • Developing and supporting a comprehensive launch plan and strategy for new product(s)

  • Creating and implementing market development strategies to target key customers

  • Developing product positioning, marketing messaging, and related marketing collateral

  • Establishing relationships with key opinion leaders in the field

  • Developing sales and physician education program

What we're looking for in you:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in engineering or life sciences a plus.

  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 3+ years product development experience within a marketing team or equivalent experience. Software development, networking or connectivity experience preferred. Experience with Neuroscience highly desired.

  • Strong analytic and strategic thinking ability.

  • Demonstrated ability of collecting user requirements (Voice of the customer).

  • Medical device experience strongly preferred; experience with Class III devices preferred.

  • Must have demonstrated team leadership experience preferably with a cross-functional team.

  • Physician/Provider engagement experience preferred.

  • Previous product launch experience preferred.

  • Ability to complete assignments of an advanced degree of complexity, working under little supervision on specific tasks or projects.

About the role Reports to the VP, Global Marketing for Neuromodulation and primarily partners with franchise marketing leaders and regional marketing directors to lead the channel, content, brand, field marketing and communications strategy / execution across the Neuromodulation division. Partners with functional and channel partners to ensure appropriate positioning and messaging across many communications platforms and channels. Ensures programs and department resources are aligned with overall company goals and objectives. Executes through staff and external resources. Your responsibilities will include: * Influences direction of the Boston Scientific brand and partners with corporate on brand initiatives * Works globally with other regions to manage the Neuromodulation brand and channel efforts to ensure high levels of effectiveness and efficiency * Primary Neuromodulation liaison for internal channel partners and functions; such as digital marketing, public relations, corporate communications, shared marketing, social marketing, and tradeshows. * Runs quarterly business reviews with channel and functional partners to evaluate program impact and reassess objectives and outcomes; responsible for continuous improvement of the functional area * Lead strategies that take into consideration divisional/corporate objectives and drive business results * Define department structure/model that best meets business needs. Allocate resources to the highest business priorities. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, serving as primary liaison on marketing programs * Communicate proactively to all levels of management and all stakeholders * Identify, partner with, and manage appropriate resources (i.e., vendor relationships, other internal departments, etc.) to ensure that programs meet objectives * Develop and maintain budgets while ensuring cost saving measures; accountable for implications on general business management * Keep abreast of industry standards and trends as related to responsibilities, and communicates information to the organization and leads communication channel innovation for Neuromodulation * Create a professional development plan with the partnership of direct supervisor * Ensure professional development plans are in place for direct reports * Drives measurement of functional programs and team performance * Recruit and retain high-quality staff. Coach and develop staff.
