It's an exciting time to work for ProQuest! We are seeking a Product Manager, Senior to support our Music and Arts products in our largest business unit, ProQuest Information Solutions. You'll be responsible for looking at ways to advance the user experience and engage our end-users. You'll be challenged to develop and execute a strategy that grows the business beyond the traditional application of our music and performing arts content.
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a growing portfolio and develop content and tools that support music and arts programs in education.
What you'll be doing:
The Product Manager gathers market-driven requirements by consulting with customers, prospects, analysts, and other external resources to manage product delivery and lifecycles and achieve commercial objectives.
Get close to your customers so you develop an in-depth knowledge of market problems and how to solve for them
Create user stories for current and future products based on the market problems that you identify
Analyze market segments to choose the best ones to pursue.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as product marketing on how to position products for different markets and regions.
Manage all aspects of the product life cycle including testing new features/products and ideas with your customers and prospects
Own the content strategy for the product portfolio and work with partners like Smithsonian Folkways Recordings and the National Theatre (UK)
Evaluate the success of products in the market, and drive changes to our product and processes to create incremental improvements.
Evaluate and understand the market and where we fit including assessment of competitor products

The performing arts matter to you. Whether you have studied or performed professionally, are an enthusiastic amateur musician, or can recite all the lyrics to your favorite broadway performance in the shower, you have a passion for the music and performing arts. This is an incredible opportunity to use your experience and knowledge.
The ability to speak with and understand the needs of faculty and librarians regarding music and performing arts from the very start will be an advantage

Ability to analyze different types of data (for example revenue, usage, and market segment) and propose approaches to grow the business

Qualifications you need to be successful:
Bachelors' degree or higher in a related field, plus 3-5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
