The Product Manager Spectroscopy & Emerging Markets will be part of a team responsible for the physical properties portfolio. This team's objective is to grow PAC's physical properties portfolio through product strategy and value innovation. The Product Manager Spectroscopy & Emerging Markets will be responsible for developing deep understanding of the emerging and currently uncontested market segments, define opportunities for growth (in non-existent and/or unexplored segments within HPI), create customer focused product requirements, analyze financial attractiveness, drive the product management aspect of the agile new product/technology development cycles (from ideation, to launch, to obsolescence).
Develop deep understanding of the Spectroscopy & Emerging Market segments market segment through direct customer interaction, indirect market research and detailed data analysis
Manage product and technology roadmap
Identify blue ocean opportunities for portfolio growth in emerging market segments
Conduct in-depth analysis to develop product specifications to satisfy unmet needs in marketplace
Be an integral part of the product development team to provide product management inputs
Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, operations and service to develop product definitions
Product Life Cycle Management
Develop and maintain product launch packages including but not limited to; product presentations, technical offers, white papers and competitive analysis materials
Provide product training and technical support to internal business partner; sales, service and operations
Participate and support efforts to position product within standard bodies (i.e. ASTM, ISO, etc.)
Follow all company policies and procedures and organize work areas for efficiency and safety
Provides status reports to management as required
Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering, or other related field/s; minimum requirement
MBA and/or strong business acumen preferred
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in product management within technology oriented organization/s
Previous experience with launching new-to-the-world products and/or launching in new markets is a plus
Previous experience with optical spectroscopy instrumentation is a plus
Language: Excellent oral, written, verbal interpersonal and presentation communication skills in national language and English language. Must be fluent in English. Bilingual or multilingual a plus.
Solid data analysis and organizational skills
Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office products, persuasive presentation skills including the ability to explain technical and business topics
Customer Experience Grounding:
Travel: Ability to travel 25% -35% both domestic and international (50/50)
Location: This position will be based in Houston, TX.
