VIEW JOBS1/13/2019 12:00:00 AM2019-04-13T00:00Everlane is on a mission to change the way people shop. We're looking to add a Product Manager to our technology team who will help us drive forward our mission to build the best tech-enabled retail experience in the industry.
As a member of the product team, you will work with stakeholders from all across the organization, from creative to marketing, engineering to operations. You will be responsible for synthesizing multiple, often conflicting, viewpoints and sources of data to define, implement, and iterate on strategy. You will touch both tech and physical product, and be responsible for experiences that have both an online and operational component. You will manage multiple products and work with the rest of the team to define the quarterly roadmap and tech strategy for the company.
PMs are responsible for making things happen. The right candidates are "people people" who love exploring problems from all different sides; on any given day, you may be giving feedback in a design critique, designing an A/B test with our data team, or scoping work with the engineering team. As a PM, you will have an incredible amount of responsibility and will be counted on to lead by example. No role is beneath you or above you; you should be as comfortable crunching data or writing a query as meeting with our CEO. As a senior PM, you will be expected to not only drive high-profile projects but develop the junior PMs on your team. Prior experience conducting customer research, managing product, developing features, and analyzing data (SQL, Excel) is highly valued. Role is based full-time in San Francisco.
* Own the strategy and execution for a variety of products, from customer-facing features (e.g., international shipping or guest checkout) to internal tools (e.g., customer experience channels or site merchandising tools)
* Work cross-functionally across the organization to understand and identify customer pain points
* Develop end to end plans for features, detailing the hypothesis, timeline for testing and implementation, and results to report out to the product and executive teams
* Manage and motivate a team of cross-functional stakeholders to execute on products/projects that solve customer pain points or achieve strategic objectives
* Manage a Junior PM and partner with our executives, engineering, and product leads to scope, prioritize, and plan quarterly roadmaps for the entire technology organization
We'd love to hear from you if you:
* Have 4+ years of work experience, including 2+ years of direct experience in product management at a tech or tech-enabled company and 2+ years of additional experience in strategy (e.g., biz ops, management consulting), retail/ecommerce (e.g., at a consumer brand or consumer-facing start-up), engineering, or UX/UI
* Are highly analytical and organized in their approach problems; exceptional excel and/or SQL skills are expected
* Are empathetic and experienced with working with coworkers from different backgrounds (e.g., engineers, designers, customer success associates, etc.)
* Are entrepreneurially minded, self-motivated, and comfortable moving forward with little guidance; unafraid to make big, strategic decisions on a daily basis and comfortable defending the decisions they make
* Are incredibly passionate about the Everlane brand and mission
At Everlane, we're rethinking the way retail works. We have no middlemen taking their cut and no brand markups. Instead, we design our own luxury basics and sell them exclusively at a fraction of the traditional retail price. Since launching in November 2011, Everlane has attracted over 1,300,000 members and has been featured in The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Economist, Elle, and GQ.
Please note before submitting an application: as a company, we take hiring very seriously. Interviewing with Everlane may include video and phone interviews, written projects, and/or on-site interviews. Although we are unable to follow-up with each and every applicant, we do our best to run a thorough process for candidates with whom we identify a potential fit.
Everlane provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
