JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT
Increase Division sales and profits through development of product and business development strategies. Coordinate communication involving products and business development opportunities between Division, customers and end users.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Support and adhere to Parker's
Code of Ethics, ISO requirements, policies, and procedures and observe housekeeping guidelines. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1.Establish product development procedures to assist field sales in achieving profitable volume
2.Make recommendations and evaluations on new product opportunities as outlined in the Winovation process
3.Participate in or lead new product development teams as part of the Winovation process
4.Develop and present product training to field sales, customers and end users
5 Support field sales with information on products and application
6.Conduct periodic market evaluations
7.Conduct competitive analysis of product lines
8.Accompany and assist field sales as required
9.Attend sales conferences and trade shows as required
10. Assist in preparation and execution of advertising and promotional programs
11. Develop and revise product literature, catalogs, technical bulletins etc.
12. Facilitate exchange of information between engineering and field sales management
13. Assist in the development of pricing strategies
14. Assist in the development of product positioning strategies
15. Monitor activities for continuous improvements in productivity and cost reductions
16. Assists divisions in determining appropriate list prices, standard discounts and rebates and managing any restructuring, updating, communication and publication of price increases.
17. Provides management with reports which allows management to effectively respond to
changing economic conditions and market changes. Performs ongoing measurements and
reporting on pricing effectiveness.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Reports to the Business Development Manager. Interact
with the Corporate, Group and Division personnel. Use of judgment in determining products
offered, target markets and product line forecasting. Interact with sales, operations and marketing
to provide premier customer service.

Education and/or Experience: BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Business discipline with related experience. Three to five years experience in engineering or field sales in a related industry.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Project management skills with sales/marketing experience a plus.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate various office equipment and proficient in a variety of software programs used in the department.
General understanding of manufacturing processes, practices and cost accounting. Must be able to maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping pricing information confidential. Excellent PC skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.
