AR/VR technologies and voice-interfaces are becoming a meaningful consumer reality. The AR/VR team builds forward-looking, foundational AI technologies and core capabilities for AR/VR future technology platforms.

We build consumer experiences and workplace/productivity products. As a Product Manager, you'll lead development of the next generation of AR/VR technology products and platforms. You will drive product vision, work closely with our cross-functional teams to define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones.

You'll also be responsible for identifying and tracking key performance metrics. We're looking for strong entrepreneurial product managers who have a strong interest for AR/VR technologies, can think big and execute on that vision, and excel in ambiguity.

PRODUCT MANAGER - CONSUMER SOFTWARE (AR/VR) RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products

Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution

Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers

Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction

Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products

Understand Facebook's strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years product management experience or similar experience

Technical experience with analytical tools, methodologies, and design

3+ years of experience in developing consumer products such as mobile phones, smart home, wearable technologies and platforms, Media products or AR/VR products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience developing social products, technologies and platforms

Experience delivering products with next-generation technology introduction

BA/BS or equivalent experience

As the Product Management Lead focused on VR hardware, you'll lead development of new hardware, hardware changes, strategic expansion initiatives, key new use cases, and guidance of the team through key program milestones. The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with a passion for user experience and professional experience building complex, user-centric hardware products. DIRECTOR, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, VR DEVICES RESPONSIBILITIES * Own our VR devices portfolio strategy, spanning development of new and in-market hardware products. Deliver product value proposition, key features and positioning for key elements of our platform. Comprehend complex hardware and software technology roadmaps and use that understanding to inform the software roadmap. Manage hardware tradeoffs, spanning compute, battery, ergonomics, audio, displays, and optics. Identify immediate and/or upcoming user needs, then work with the team to develop a product plan that addresses them. Guide the long-term technology and innovation investments for future products. Partner with software and experience teams to deliver on key use cases. Manage collaboration and communication with other teams, both internal and external, to ensure teams have what they need and can work efficiently. Collaborate with other teams inside Facebook to drive innovative changes.
