The Physical Stores team is looking for a Product Manager of Catalog and Assortment based in Seattle or New York. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for working with other consumables-focused businesses and product owners across the organization to develop and utilize mechanisms to support data quality and defect reduction, create and enforce requirements and timelines, and execute new initiatives. Your direct responsibility will be to manage slices of the catalog for to deliver best-in-class customer experiences. You will deliver high confidence data accuracy for store assortment across product lifespan from new item to discontinuance and become a catalog expert in physical grocery. You will coordinate across multiple retail teams (e.g., catalog, buying/vendor management, product/program management, operations), build scalable processes, and support your teammates. S/he will be able to grow their abilities to extend to new concepts of selection curation for physical stores over time.
Operate as a key member of a small high-performing team supporting the category team.
Improve mechanisms and processes to measure catalog quality, reduce defects, and work with product teams to automate and improve and its impact on the business over time.
Ensure clean item data for onboarding to store assortment and resolve new defects in item data as they are introduced over the item's lifespan.
Work with Fresh/Prime Now and other Physical store teams to align on catalog strategy, metrics and processes where it makes sense.
Partner with product management/ tech teams to identify use cases and new features that will help retail scale.

BA/BS Degree and 3+ years' relevant work experience
Good excel and SQL skills or willingness to learn SQL
Strong attention to detail and Dive Deep, Customer Obsession, and Ownership
Good written and verbal communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Must be able to deal with ambiguity and manage changing priorities with Bias for action, and experience making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Effectively working in a cross-functional environment with category, product, and other business teams
History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
A willingness to dive into technical environments and issues
Prior product management experience
2+ years' experience with Excel advanced functions (pivots, lookups)
Previous experience with Amazon catalog and offer systems is a big plus
Strong resourcefulness and ability to find or develop compelling data given limited resources and time
Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in demanding situations and meet deadlines
