The Product Manager will be joining a new Innovation & Product Management team within the Meetinghouse Facilities Department (MFD). This team provides leadership to the development and maintenance of strategic products, especially those used by local leaders around the world. The work led by this position has the potential to directly influence

Team members are expected to have a high aptitude for managing technical products-such as the Facilities Issue Reporting web and mobile apps-as well as less technical products like the Member Meetinghouse Care program.

The role works closely with MFD department leadership, including the Managing Director, Directors, and worldwide Area Physical Facilities Managers in leading each product to deliver sustainable value and ensuring those served are highly satisfied with the results.

Responsibilities

.

Responsibilities require a high degree of talent and aptitude to:

  • Understand unmet and customer/audience needs; Balance stakeholder requirements with customer needs; Establish and maintain a prioritized backlog of product requirements; Prioritize audiences/customers; Product ambassador/ Create, lead, and work with cross-functional teams (including service departments); Manage the entire Product Lifecycle; Product launch and adoption for all targeted audiences; Develop core product communication, messaging, and positioning by audience; Establish, monitor, and report product metrics; Manage inventory levels to meet supply/demand.

  • Indirect leadership/teamwork required from other internal organizations: Typically leads cross-functional teams, mainly comprised of individual contributors.

  • Product Influence (strategic importance, footprint/global): Oversees products that have strategic influence, often with a global impact. Will involve product introduction into new markets or areas.

  • Product breadth: Manages multiple products or product lines.

  • Product complexity: Manages products that require technical integration within department, across departments, or with vendors.

  • Clear and concise communication: creates compelling written and verbal presentation and experience communicating at a senior management/executive level

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in business, marketing, communications, technology or related disciplines; MBA preferred

  • 5-9 years of related experience. Experience managing consumer web and mobile applications is preferred, with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems that directly impact business operations

  • Strong analytical skills; excellent written communication and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Demonstrated success defining and creating exceptional customer experiences with products.

  • Excellent ability to build productive and effective relationships where conflicting objectives may exist.

  • This position requires general to minimal supervision.

Worthiness Qualification

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.

This role will have significant responsibility and ownership for a variety of challenging strategic projects and will work closely with senior executives. These projects range from early-stage diagnostic and strategy development to wide scale testing and implementation. Analyzes internal data to identify organizational weaknesses and subsequently formulates solutions to address them. Works with organization leadership to improve business strategies and results. Responsibilities * Works closely with senior executives on significant projects with complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors to improve business strategies and results. Identifies essential work in the organization and how to provide those services in the most simple and affordable way. * May lead projects that span across multiple departments. * Works cooperatively with team members, directors, and the managing director. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in business or related field, preferably with a Strategy emphasis. * Experience leading projects or managing others, when functioning as the team lead. * Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Able to influence strategic thinking, identify trends, and analyze data to impact recommendations. * Comfortable with ambiguous and complex situations and an ability to provide logical and coherent potential solutions. * Advanced ability to communicate effectively in a way that builds and improves relationships both orally and in writing. * Must have excellent presentation skills and abilities. * Capable of performing detailed, technical data analysis. * Ability to appropriately handle sensitive data and documents. * Ability to work autonomously. * Highly skilled in the use of standard desktop software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (programming ability a plus).
