Description

Haven is a creative insurtech startup that's a part of MassMutual. We have a simple, but meaningful mission:

Make life less hard. To accomplish that, we offer life insurance, which protects those you love against the worst possible event. We have two businesses:

HavenLife, our direct to consumer insurance product and Coverpath, our agent assisted insurance product. This role is on the Haven Life team.

We're looking for a curious, creative product manager to boost the product experience closest to the consumer. You'll be improving the online experience in purchasing life insurance at havenlife.com, tackling onboarding and conversion challenges.

How will you convince first-time life insurance buyers to provide sensitive health information? How will you setup to test different partner landing pages? What feature will you add to scale our growth beyond early adopters? How will you get potential customers to feel our product value earlier?

These are only some of the issues you'll be solving in our Flatiron District office. And, yes, we have free snacks and we care about cold brew iced coffee.

Last, but not least, our tech stack includes: Angular4, Node/Typescript, Docker, Postgres, GitLab, Convox, AWS and our own isomorphic framework.

Your responsibilities

  • Connect product to business outcomes

  • Partner, prioritize, and balance the needs of marketing along with other teams

  • Build or refine features to increase acquisition, optimize the onboarding process, and clarify the product value, all while balancing against regulatory and business constraints

  • Drive product development from conception to launch

  • Oversee production issues and resolution by coordinating across other product teams and 3rd party vendors

  • Help product designers and data analysts structure quantitative and qualitative research so you deeply understand the what and why of our customers

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a product manager

  • Experience improving conversion or onboarding for a highly considered product or service, with stories of successes and failures

  • Know how to craft A/B and funnel optimization tests

  • Clear and concise written communication with proven ability to summarize large, complex and conflicting data

  • Know how, when, and where to partner with performance and brand marketing

  • Attention to details with tenacity to pursue complex problems

  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Nice to haves

  • Experience working with paid media such SEM, bloggers, or influencers

  • Authority in Google Analytics, Qlik, Indicative, or other analytics tools

  • Prior work experience in fintech, insurtech, healthtech, or any regulated industry
