As the Product Manager, Innovation, you will be responsible for executing a portfolio of projects within our Innovation Product Strategy across the company and communicating the product vision and for bringing products and product features from concept to end of life.

About The Team:

The Intralinks Innovation team is the spear point in the company; bringing new and exciting ideas to completion. You'll be part of a team of experts in startups, integration, design and ideation that champions fast and intelligent implementations of impactful ideas across the organization.

Overview:

In this role, you are a key decision maker on priorities, activities and design decisions, and will work to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle. You will help to manage the Innovation Portfolio to KPIs of time, budget and resources, and must understand both the engineering and business side of the product release and will ultimately responsible be for representing the end user's needs.

Additionally, you will:

  • Collaborate with leadership across design, product management and engineering to establish Ideation sessions for our products

  • Drive innovation projects through our process

  • Work jointly with Product Marketing to distill inbound market insights and opportunities, and outbound to help craft messages that capture successful business outcomes derived by use of the product

  • Assess ROI for product development initiatives to optimize business value delivery through product backlog prioritization

  • Assist the sales organization strategically, ensuring they can communicate the value delivered and tactically, responding to needs of account teams when required

  • Contribute to build/buy/partner discussions and work jointly with product marketing to make recommendations supported by a business case

  • Establish key product differentiators and ensure that the field understands them and how to develop trap questions that pinpoint the corresponding weaknesses of competitive products

  • Develop professional-level knowledge of competitive and complementary products and bring new ideas to the team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • 3 years or more of product management experience

  • Have some level of user experience design AND/OR business and market analysis experience AND/OR technical (software development) experience

  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies

  • Ability to work on a small team and lead area of focus

It would be great if you also:

  • Have a portfolio of previous projects

  • Have attended training, be familiar with, or practiced agile scrum in software development

  • Have experience in the Mergers & Acquisitions, Alternative Investments or Financial Services industry

  • Experience building applications for Android and iOS

It would be mind-blowingly awesome if you also have:

  • Experience building something on your own.

  • Something else that we'd be surprised to learn about you that also qualifies as awesome. (Cliff-diver? Community leader? Artist/musician?)

National Grid is hiring a Director, Product Management Clean Transportation for our Customer Organization located in Waltham, MA. Job Purpose The Director will lead/implement the End to End Product lifecycle for the Alternative Fuel Vehicles (electric vehicles, compressed natural gas and hydrogen vehicles) product and program category in support of the Company's growth and Clean Transportation strategies. Key Accountabilities Product Management * Determines market and specific customer segment needs and desires by collaborating with Market Intelligence, Sales and program management teams; specifies research needed to obtain additional market insights for the category. * Assesses market competition and landscape by comparing the company's products to the alternatives. * Develops business and investment plans and models that would drive at scale deployments of alternative fuel vehicles. * Influence the discussion around industry standards and their adoption across clean transportation product lines. * Coordinate with company's internal stakeholders on standards for data, communications, network and asset management and ownership. * Brings new products to market in support of National Grid's priorities; by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development needs; establishing time schedules with marketing, engineering, IT and other functions. * Develops go-to-market plans that include introduction and promotion of new products by developing time-integrated plans with marketing, sales and jurisdictional teams. * Regularly appraises current products and their positioning; establishes/executes update schedules integrating releases with marketing, sales and regional teams. * Leads training of business development, sales and jurisdictional teams on Clean Transportation products/product road map, including developing related materials and training tools. * Ensures the effectiveness of existing products and services in the marketplace and establishes continuous improvements actions to correct any issues that might be preventing the full development of a product or a service. * Makes investment decisions within the category to ensure there is a healthy pipeline of existing products and services as well as a robust pipeline of new ideas for future products and services. * Provides proposal support for new business opportunities by collaborating with sales, functional leads and SMEs. * Supports new programs and pilots from the start-up phase to maturity with collaborative oversight and training; provide ongoing program support as necessary throughout program lifecycles. * Ensures that Alternate fuel vehicles programs support the company's overall strategy and goals. * Accountable for the overall profitability of the category; this includes overall budget management, new revenue identification, cost management. Partner & Integration Management * Sponsors and develops relationships with industry partners including but not limited to alternative fuel vehicles supply equipment partners, large customers and non-profit organizations (ex. NYSERDA) to ensure quality delivery in programs, co-pursue new business opportunities and evolve program offerings * Supports teams in build out of Scope of Work agreement for specific programs * Participate in high level regular and constructive communication with partners * Monitors market and identifies future potential partners * Collaborates with partners to jointly drive mutually beneficial business development activity * Serves as a resource about partner capabilities and relationships to program teams Team Management * Develop a team of strong and talented innovators and product managers that will drive the category forward. * Ensures that team members within the organization are enabled, engaged, have a strong development plan and have the opportunities to rotate across the team. * Embed the product management mindset across the team and the rest of the organization. Qualifications * BA in business related field or BS in engineering plus an MBA or Advance Degree in Product Management, 7+ years of experience as a business leader at a senior level managing a team managing change programs.
