Engineering Services designs, builds, and sustains technology that powers DE&E Technology's worldwide content production and distribution platforms. In doing so, they contribute to a series of cross-functional services and technologies, including Quality Assurance, Data Analytics, Software Development, Broadcast Infrastructure, and Networking & Security.

Enterprise products are business-facing software applications which enable The Walt Disney Company's operations to run efficiently. The product team is looking for a strong Product Manager that will focus on applications which facilitate production resource management and operations for studio and remote event content.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with business partners and other product managers to define the strategic vision of enterprise products that support transmission and content operations suite of tools.

  • Drive feature prioritization through collaboration with the functional team leaders and user representation.

  • Work with the Product Management and Software Engineering leads to help develop and manage product specifications and requirements through product briefs and user stories.

  • Demonstrate a strategic understanding of the rationale for design choices for the feature area.

  • Identifies unaddressed issues and resolves or finds the appropriate owner to ensure the highest quality for his feature area.

  • Build additional specifications that include detailed descriptions of records, files, and documents used in processing, and data flow charts.

  • Collaborates with developers to conceive and recommend solutions to business partners.

  • Work with team leads to create and manage a work-intake process for documenting and prioritizing new project/product requests and operational enhancements.

  • Uses creativity and analytical thinking to identify and evaluate solution alternatives and to develop recommendations for resolving product issues.

  • Think strategically about the suite of products and determine areas of improvement to provide consolidation and workflow efficiencies for the business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology related fields, such as Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar field required or equivalent years of experience

  • Minimum 3 year of product management experience.

  • Exposure or experience with Agile development tools, such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Experience conducting business partner discussions to define functional requirements, with a progression in complexity, and develop product roadmaps.

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to clearly communicate goals, status, and issues.

  • Strong technical writing and verbal skills.

  • Ability to write, understand, and prioritize user stories.

  • Ability to adjust and pivot as business strategy and product priorities shifts.

  • Exhibits a clear understanding of development process, methodologies, and tools.

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability with impeccable follow-through.

  • Strong prioritization and organization skills with experience juggling time-sensitive requests from multiple business partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters in related technical field preferred.

  • Prior work experience in Enterprise technology.

  • Knowledge of or experience in media & entertainment industry

  • Enthusiasm and interests in Disney brands.

  • Understanding of media production workflows, digital video workflows, or consumer-facing video product features.

  • Expertise in the entertainment industry (having worked in a studio, production company, agency, distributor).

  • Experience in metadata, master data and/or supply chain.

The hiring range for this position in Connecticut is $112,600 $151,000 and in New York is $117,998 to $158,290 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
