Product Manager II or Product Manager III
The Federal Reserve Bank is looking for a Product Manager for our Cash Product Office (CPO) technical team. Our team is responsible for the strategic direction, and national support for Federal Reserve Cash Services (FedCash Services). The CPO provides operational guidance and technology strategies for U.S. currency and coin supplied to depository institutions by the twelve Federal Reserve Banks. National Cash Automation (NCA) is the CPO's software development and support team. NCA is responsible for maintaining and improving the Federal Reserve System's cash operations suite of automation solutions.
As our Product Manager, you will be responsible for following the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to develop and lead the execution of the product vision for one or more aspects of the FedCash Suite of applications. Product areas may include one or more of: external DI functionality via FedLine Cash, internal operational functionality related to our NextGen equipment program, external API product development, new product innovations, and all other aspects of our product suite. Your role will included conducting customer research, ensuring business EPICs are written that reflect the product vision and working closely with colleagues in the CPO, application development, marketing, communications, and support to ensure business and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Helping set the future of Cash, you will assist with the creation of a product roadmap and drive cross-functional teams towards execution against that product roadmap and provide other support to the product management team, as needed.
You will assemble and lead diverse team(s) of subject matter experts to assist with customer research and to ensure appropriate representation of business needs in requirements and user story creation
You will negotiate the competing demands of various partner groups
Conduct and/or coordinate customer research in support of innovation idea collection and product development; this may include focus groups, surveys and/or on-site visits
Define the product vision then translate the product vision into release scope
You will lead Product Owners to translate defined product vision into detailed business requirements
Ensure that the design and technical realization of the requirements is consistent with the product vision
You will identify integration needs between the applications and other ongoing development projects
Provide timely answers to business questions, track and resolve issues as they arise
Assist with development of core positioning and messaging for the marketing plan for product releases
Assist with development and deployment of training plans for product release
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering or related subject or equivalent experience
Product Manager II: 5 years of experience in product management, product design or project management
Product Manager III: 7 years of experience in product management, product design or project management
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products or projects
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple concurrent projects, changing priorities, deadlines and informational needs
Confirmed ability to coordinate and work with diverse groups of subject matter experts
Validated ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Expert planning and organizational skills
Experience in Agile development methodology including SAFe is helpful
Knowledge of Cash Services preferred
Ability to travel 25-30%
Physical Demands and General Working Conditions
Traditional office environment: Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Addendum as needed: Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
