Product Manager

Get Inspired by the Work You'll Do

The Product Manager will be responsible for managing a large volume vendor or multiple product lines and vendors to include managing the P&L, inventory and vendor programs and relationships as well as providing sales and operations support when necessary.

  • Identify, lead and execute operational efficiency projects

  • Point of escalation for Account Managers for assigned vendors around operational, finance or other concerns

  • Monitor and measure the P&L of product line and make recommendations for improvement

  • Support AM sales calls with customers on individual opportunities

  • Monitor training program for sales team

  • Update internal website(s) with current sales guides, process guides, price lists, contacts, etc.

  • Assist Order Management and Customer Service teams to solve post sales issues

  • Coordinate and deliver training to the sales team via email updates, training room and WebEx.

  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate vendor projects, programs, promotions

  • Create pricing templates, vendor groups, and special pricing procedures for vendors

  • Create financial profitability models for sales teams

  • Assist purchasing as a point of contact for expedites and escalation of ETAs with the vendor

  • Vendor and Customer Relations

  • Order processing subject matter expert by vendor

  • Vendor program subject matter expert for order requirements

  • In coordination with business development and sales staff, works within customer accounts to recruit, develop and position product line

  • Build relationships with all key vendor contacts

  • IT/Security/Telecom industry experience preferred

  • Microsoft Office Applications

  • Higher level of Microsoft Excel preferred

Your passion is sparked by:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent plus 2 5 years of related experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of PM processes, procedures and terminology.

Demonstrated background exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Proven experience building productive internal/external working relationships.

Excellent verbal and written communications a must with demonstrated organizational and planning skills.

Take this opportunity to GROW together! About the job The Specification Management team is responsible for over 4000 Ingredients and BOM's coming from over 300 different suppliers. Your mission is to ensure product compliance by specifying ingredients 'Fit for use' & managing expectations with suppliers, to support the Innovation pipeline and Operations in delivering Best Care to our consumers & customers. The Product Specifications Associate ensures that the ingredients comply with the functional, quality & food safety and regulatory requirements, validated by internal stakeholders of Product Development and Quality and signed off by the suppliers. The Product Specifications Associate reports to the Technical Systems Manager. Your responsibilities * Ensure new and existing ingredient specifications comply with functional, quality & food safety and regulatory requirements and are approved within expected time lines; * Build relationships and negotiate with suppliers to come to mutual agreed specifications; * Risk assessment of ingredients resulting in advice towards QFS for supplier approval / development; * Inspiring and influencing internal stakeholders towards specification management ambition; * Grow and manage internal and external network on your portfolio; * Keep your portfolio compliant with new internal standards and regulation. * Collaborate with Dan'IS to implement the digital transformation. * Drive specification upgrading process: functional specification, new regulatory global requirements, safety risks anticipation. * Contribute to improving processes and ways of working within specification management internally and externally. * Manage SAP Master Data creation and maintenance requests using a defined process. * Provide business analysis and cross-functional expertise * Follow established data create/change procedures and standards * Develop procedures and standards as required * All other duties as assigned Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in quality or product development in the food industry. You have a Packaging/Food Science/Food Safety degree and you are comfortable working in an international and dynamic organization with various functional disciplines at several locations. In addition, the ideal candidate * Brings expertise on ingredient functionality, quality & food safety and/or regulation, to have experience or specialism in Dairy is a huge advantage. * Has the ability to network inside and outside the organization; * Has excellent communication and presentation skills; * Likes to negotiate with suppliers to come to mutual agreements; * Is business result driven and has following competencies: analytical, accurate and persuasive; * High degree of initiative and ownership, * Strong attention to details * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to multi-task and manage workload in a dynamic environment * Is an outstanding team player.
