Get Inspired by the Work You'll Do

Manage profit and loss of product line including but not limited to minimizing losses (i.e. price protection and inventory costs) that include vendor management and rebate tracking and analyzing financial reports to manage the P/L of a single large-volume or multiple product line.

Manage/negotiate back end rebate programs/ensure accrued amount is invoiced and collected

Work with Marketing to develop marketing programs and internal sales communications

Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors

Develop and execute overall business plan to include assessing risk and opportunities

Develop and implement marketing strategies and prepare proposals to vendor for business opportunities

Meet/exceed monthly revenues, Net GM% and Net GM$ vendor forecasts and own P & L responsibilities for assigned vendors

Support sales with product guidance, product pricing and market trends and ensure vendor regular train sales

Design and establish pricing matrix to support day to day quoting opportunities

Respond to sales inquiries in a timely manner

Work with sales and buyers to ensure sales forecasts are incorporated into future buying volumes and respond to inquiries about orders and work with Vendor and Sales to maximize bid opportunities

Consolidate competitive information and act as the point of escalation on vendor issues relating to their channel strategies, selling practices, special programs and other general trouble shooting

Your passion is sparked by:

Bachelor Degree from an accredited College or University and a minimum of two (2) years directly related/transferable product management experience required; Post-secondary degree or diploma desired

Solid time management skills with the ability to multi-task and stay focused

Demonstrated professionalism and a proven team player

Proven project and time management skills

Established experience developing and executing on product marketing plans and the ability to develop group presentations

Tactical planning and business communication skills a must

Ability to travel between 10-20%

VIEW JOBS 1/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-17T00:00 PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: To keep the retail store properly stocked by unloading product deliveries in a timely manner and moving product to the sales floor in compliance with approved store plan-o-grams and floor layouts. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: 1. Maintains a consistent and adequate stock of products on the sales floor and warehouse shelves in a neat, consistent and orderly condition. 2. Assembles products for displays and customers as needed. 3. Arranges displays to coordinate with sales promotions and the season and makes plan-o-gram (POG) revisions as directed. 4. Downstocks, faces and fronts all merchandise according to Company merchandising standards. 5. Assists customers in a professional and courteous manner, as needed, such as getting merchandise for them and helping load heavier items. 6. Receives product in the store warehouse from the Company's distribution centers or directly from vendors. Records and notifies Product Placement Lead of any issues. 7. Completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. 8. Remains informed on all new and existing products and Merchandise programs. 9. Reports any witnessed inappropriate activity or theft immediately to manager on duty. 10. Follows Company approved Customer Service Standards. 11. Keeps supervisor informed of important information developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach. 12. Performs related work as apparent or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * High school education or equivalent. * At least six months of related retail sales experience with product place, store layouts or equivalent training. * Knowledge of light industrial products, hydraulics, etc. * High mechanical aptitude. * Ability to communicate effectively with customers. * Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment's 12 Core Competencies.
