Ready to build products in a truly product-driven company? Are you passionate about using technology to change the world?
Groupon's mission is to become the daily habit in local commerce and fulfill our purpose of building strong communities through thriving small businesses by connecting people to a vibrant, global marketplace for local services, experiences and goods. In the process, we're positively impacting the lives of millions of customers and merchants globally. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking and celebrates success.
As a Product Manager, you are effectively the liaison within the Groupon team, working with designers, developers and senior management to guide projects through to fruition and help our teams build successful products. In this role, you'll be working on projects that will have a direct impact on large-scale initiatives and be able to see your hard work pay off quickly. You'll work in a small, independent team and use agile practices - giving you the perfect hybrid between the feel and impact opportunity of a startup, with the assets of a public company.
We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and kind of obsessed with helping local businesses thrive. Does that sound like a compelling place to work?
The Direct Supply and Acquisition team builds products for our merchant partners globally to ensure a seamless experience in their engagement with Groupon during the key phases of their life cycle, supporting key activities like acquisition, onboarding and campaign optimization. We are looking for a data-driven, analytical, Product Manager who can drive key initiatives to help us in our mission of enabling businesses succeed.
You'll spend time on the following:
Collaborate regularly with leaders across the firm to ensure that product vision aligns with business needs and requirements
Building relationships with different people across all business organizations while exploring different functional areas of Groupon
As a Product Manager, you'll partner with internal stakeholders to understand new feature needs, building out the road map and vision to bring those features to life
Driving and owning the vision and strategy for your area of expertise
Partner with design, data science and engineering teams to bring your ideas to life
Work across the business, engineering, and product orgs to execute your roadmap at lightning speed
We're excited about you if you have:
A track record of having effectively managed product roadmaps, writing clear and specific product requirement documents, collaborating with user-experience on product design and having worked in a cross-cultural, geographically distributed team
BS Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field
5+ years relevant industry experience; including at least 3 years in Product Management
You're a self-starter who can execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
Ability to work collaboratively in an environment that promotes constant team communication
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
You have strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
Familiarity with A/B testing
An MBA or prior E-Commerce experience would be a big plus
If Groupon's vision and this role excites you, and you meet the above requirements, please apply to join us. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
