We are hiring a Product Manager for our Bioproduction group. The Product Manager oversees all marketing aspects of the marketing business and supports the team with strategic and tactical assignments as needed. The Product Manager's work encompasses the broad range of activities required to plan, promote, and execute sound sales and marketing campaigns to achieve forecasted sales in the product portfolio assigned. This position interacts with varying levels of internal and external personnel and will require direct customer communication, public presentation, and a team-focused approach. Strong business and customer focus are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support assigned product line(s) and the Marketing Manager as required and assure that current and potential customers receive the highest quality products and the best service possible

  • Manage supply, demand, revenue, margin and pricing for product portfolio; update and present product line and revenue forecasts regularly to management, finance, and manufacturing teams

  • Responsible for maintenance and growth of gross profit for the Product Lines

  • Facilitate the day to day management of business initiatives in the appropriate markets

  • Market product line to assure that business objectives are met

  • Formulate and recommend product pricing in accordance with pricing guidelines and strategy, including published price list, custom pricing, special customer pricing and distributor pricing

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of on-market and new products

  • Develop marketing plans that support company strategies and goals

  • Communicate marketing plans to the organization and ensure that marketing plans are understood by the sales force, distributors, and internal departments

  • Develop new creative marketing programs, strategies and tactics to ensure that all sales channels are maximizing opportunities to position product lines to achieve business objectives

  • Implement assigned tactics for assigned product areas (e.g., direct mail, advertising, trade shows, and related activities)

  • Serve as the internal expert for the product lines and provide strategic guidance and direction for the positioning of Fujifilm Irvine Scientific's products

  • Maintain a current and complete understanding of the assigned markets and assess trends/dynamics of the segments to proactively position Fujifilm Irvine Scientific

  • Recommend product modifications or improvements based on market research, sales personnel and market feedback, process improvement and customer input

  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements and competitive strategy, and identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation

  • Analyze sales and profit performance of assigned product areas, assess effects of promotions and provide reports to management; based on such analyses, recommend enhancements to promotional efforts

  • Maintain regular communication and contact with field sales personnel, advertising agencies, P.R. agencies, professional organizations and customers to keep abreast of marketing trends and evaluate effectiveness of marketing business activities

  • Carry out new product development in assigned product areas (e.g., forecasting, field test evaluations, sales force and distributor training and related activities); interface with consultants on new products and lead new product development teams

  • Create, execute, track and measure launch campaigns and supporting launch activities (press releases, direct mail, advertisements) for new products

  • Gather competitive intelligence as assigned; implement tactics to build competitive barriers

  • Promote and cultivate relationships with industry leaders and key customers through support activities, membership in appropriate organizations, and advisory board panels

  • Create materials for sales training and sales meetings; carry out assigned new product training; perform training in conjunction with R & D or TAS as appropriate for new staff, distributors, etc.

  • Travel and represent Fujifilm Irvine Scientific at tradeshows, seminars and customer sites

Experience/ Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Marketing; MBA preferred

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a position in a B2B marketing and sales environment

  • Technical background and/or marketing experience appropriate to the specific needs of the product line

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • CRM experience a plus

  • Prior experience attending and working tradeshows

  • Must have proven ability to build relationships and guide teams which include representatives from multiple functional areas, including R&D, Sales, Program Management, and Manufacturing

  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and resolving conflict within teams

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

The Product Compliance Specialist will perform, execute, and manage Quality System compliance tasks related to Complaints, CAPA, Quality Planning, and Facility Change Requests (FCRs). This person will also manage the customer complaint process, including but not limited to, complaint intake, documentation and investigation, customer follow-up, tracking and trending. The Product Compliance Specialist will also lead and manage complaints investigations internally and communicate directly with customers, and lead and manage CAPA investigations, Quality Planning and FCRs. This position receives and processes customer inquiries and complaints and will document and convey this information to the appropriate functional department for resolution. In addition, the person in this role will lead the activities related to resolving complaints, assessing corrective action, and corrective action preventive action (CAPA). The Product Compliance Specialist will help to manage Quality System compliance activities, such as oversee CAPA program by coordinating with individual CAPA owners, manage and perform Quality Planning and FCR activities. External US Responsibilities: * Manage and perform product Compliance activities, including, but not limited to, the following: * CAPA initiation, closure and investigation support of assigned CAPA owners * Review and planning for Facility Change Requests (FCR) * Writing, review and closure of Quality Planning Activities among all sites * Compliant documentation intake, investigation oversight, customer follow-up, tracking and trending * Determine the nature of direct and indirect customer inquiries, and classify them for resolution * Managing and monitoring customer inquiries associated with complaints or CAPAs * Managing and coordinating cross-functional activities for Compliance activities * Ensuring timely and accurate closure of customer complaints, CAPAs, FCRs and Quality Planning activities and that established turnaround times are met * Ensuring compliance of processes and procedures to applicable standards related to Compliance activities, including but not limited to, complaints, CAPAs, FCRs and Quality Planning * Assisting in the communication with regulatory agencies, notified body, and competent authorities as associated with Compliance activities Experience/ Education: * Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline preferred * Two (2) or more years of experience in Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs/Compliance, technical and customer support in a medical device discipline * Knowledge of GMPs, CFRs, USP, ISO 13485, CMDR, MDD 93/42/EEC, IVD D 98/79/EC, ISO harmonized standards (EN14971, EN 13408, EN 13824) * Experience with quality control methodology, QA control systems and production methodologies * Experience in cell and tissues culture; Experience can be from education or industry * Ability to obtain cooperation from other groups and lead cross functional teams * Experience with risk management and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) * Strong root cause analysis skills required * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Fujifilm Irvine Scientific is an equal opportunity employer.
